It gets to a stage where, when you keep hearing the same news over and over again, you no longer know what to feel. Your emotions become stagnant because you do not know whether to feel sad, downcast, or probably cry.

You start wondering who we offended in particular, because people are not meant to suffer and die the way they do.

It now seems as though people's lives have become so cheap that they can be taken at any time, simply because they are trying to live and survive.

To be honest, we are already going through a lot in Nigeria, and insecurity should be the least of our problems.

May God help us all 😢

This life is a rollercoaster of emotions.
This moment you are happy and the next moment you are sad.

In everything though, let the joy of the Lord fill your heart and always remember the scripture that says;

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice." Philippians 4:4

People sometimes idolize certain ailments, and unknowingly, it keeps them bound to it.

Not because they do not want to be free, but because they have accepted it as something they must live with for the rest of their lives. And in that mindset, they continue to nurture it and give it attention.

I have been there before.

I once had an ear ailment where I experienced pain. Even after the pain left, I still carried the mindset that a part of me had to live with it permanently.

So whenever people called me more than once and tried to get my attention, the first thought that came to my mind was: ā€œDidn’t you know I once had ear pain? That’s why I didn’t hear you.ā€

The pain had actually stopped affecting my hearing, but I had built a mental habit around it. I became overly conscious and sometimes absent-minded.

I started connecting things that were not meant to be connected.

It wasn’t until I became aware of it that I realized I was doing myself more harm than good.

If I had continued that mindset, I might have limited myself unnecessarily or even believed something worse about my hearing.

That experience taught me something important.

Sometimes, what keeps us bound is not the condition itself, but the way we continue to identify with it.

Healing begins when you stop agreeing with what is no longer true about you.

Good morning.
Have a beautiful Tuesday 🄰

Around November last year, I planted a stick of scent leaf at the back of our house.

I have always loved scent leaf because of the unique aroma it gives when used in cooking.

We once planted it years ago, but it was tampered with and it died. Since then, I had tried planting it again several times, but it never grew.

So when I saw that stick again last year, I decided to try once more and this time, I told myself I would give it everything it needed to survive.

I started watering it every day because I didn’t want it to dry up. We were already approaching the dry season, and the soil was very dry, so it needed constant moisture.

Luckily, it started growing. Leaves began to appear gradually, and I was really happy seeing the progress.

But then I travelled to my hometown to visit my grandmother. While I was away, no one watered it.

When I came back, the plant had started drying up. The leaves had changed from green to brown.

I was not happy. I felt like if someone had just helped me water it, it wouldn’t have gotten to that stage.

But I didn’t give up.

I started watering it again morning and night. I cared for it like it was something alive and within two weeks, the brown leaves started turning green again and during that process, I realized two things:

1. Growth needs consistency when you stop nurturing something, it slowly dies.
2. Neglect can reverse progress, but intentional effort can restore it.

And just like the scent leaf, many things in life need constant care to grow, your habits, your goals, and even your mindset.

Have a beautiful Monday šŸ˜

Most people’s dreams and visions have been cut short because of fear.
Most people’s ambitions have been stopped because of fear.
Most people’s progress in life has been limited because of fear.

Many people are not where they want to be today because fear held them back.

They had the fear of starting, fear of failure, fear of people’s opinions and fear of the unknown.

People are afraid of what will happen if they try.
They are afraid of what others will say if they start.
They are afraid of how to even begin and that fear keeps many people stuck.

Fear can feel very real, but it is not always truth.
It is a force that tries to stop people from stepping into what they are meant to become.

But one thing is certain, fear can be conquered.

The enemy often uses fear to stop people from stepping into their purpose. Because he knows that what you are about to start might change your life and even impact others.

That is why you cannot allow fear or people’s opinions to control your decisions.

Focus on God, His word, and His direction for your life.

The Bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

So whenever fear tries to stop you, remind yourself of this truth.

Say it again and again that God has not given me the spirit of fear.
I have power.
I have love.
I have a sound mind.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Fear does not define my future. Faith does.

Have a blessed Tuesday.

I remember something that happened when I was in Primary 4

It was a beautiful Friday. We were all happy because we knew we would be resting from school activities for two days.

To us then, it felt like freedom.

During assembly, we would even sing,
Today is Friday, today is Friday
No school tomorrow, no school tomorrow and next tomorrow until Monday with so much joy while we march into our respective classes.

As the norm, we will be given assignments on different subjects especially Mathematics and English Language.

As usual, during Mathematics class, we were given an assignment and I copied it down in my notebook.

Normally, I always did my assignments on Saturdays, but that particular time, I left it till Sunday and that was where I got it all wrong.

While doing it, I started going beyond what was written. "I too know" entered me 😭. Honestly, I regretted it later.

I brought out my notebook, placed my Mathematics textbook beside it, because I usually cross-check my work from the textbook to guide my answers.

When I checked the topic, I realized something, the assignment in the textbook looked almost the same as what was given to us. The figures were very similar.

That was when my confusion started.

I thought maybe I copied the assignment wrongly. But I was sure I didn’t. Still, I assumed I made a mistake.

So I went ahead and solved the one in my textbook instead.

By Monday, I submitted my work late because I arrived at school late which means that I was the last person to submit my assignment and this made my book to be on top of the submitted note which means that my note was the first one marked by the teacher.

In my class then, I was among the top pupils. I usually score high, and the teacher often used my notebook as a reference when marking others.

When he marked my work, I got everything correct I mean all the questions.

Then came correction time.

To be continued 😊

Isn’t it interesting how people confidently share information that is actually wrong just because it worked for them?

And in reality, that might be one of the most dangerous kinds of information to spread.

But what can we do, we are in Nigeria.

Let me explain what made me think about this.

Recently, I have been doing my IT in Ibadan.

A few days ago, I went out to buy something in my area and I overheard a conversation between two women.

One of them was saying she had been told to mix a particular brand of tomato paste with Fanta as a way to boost blood production. And she said she actually tried it for days and felt fine, so she was confidently advising the other woman to do the same.

As a Food Science student, I was honestly shocked because health wise, that is not a safe or logical combination at all.

You are mixing tomato paste and Fanta and calling it blood tonic?

But what stood out for me was not just the mixture itself.

It is how quickly people accept anything that seems to work on time, without questioning the long-term effect on their health.

Many people are not looking for what is correct.
They are looking for what gives quick relief.

And when something seems to work temporarily, they assume that it is correct even if it may not be safe or scientifically sound.

If you try to correct them, they may even think you don’t understand.

But the truth is that not everything that works is right, and not everything that feels okay is safe for your health.

We need to be more intentional about what we accept as truth, especially when it comes to health.

Because sometimes, in trying to solve a problem quickly, people unknowingly create a bigger one for themselves.

Let me be honest about something

There are some places and environments that, if you grow up in them and don’t make a conscious effort to become a better version of yourself, you may never grow beyond the limits of that community and mindset.

And the saying "your environment builds you" is starting to make more sense to me.

Because when everyone around you thinks a certain way, talks a certain way, and lives a certain way, it becomes very easy to just blend in without questioning anything.

Growth doesn’t always happen naturally.
Sometimes you have to intentionally step out of what is familiar to become something more.

Your environment can shape you, but it should not define your limit.

I listened to something that made me think differently about healthy living.

I was listening to a podcast by Brian Tracy with his children, and he said something that really struck me.

He said, and I rephrase "a good self-esteem automatically leads to living a healthy life."

That made me pause.

Because many of us think healthy living is only about the food we eat.
Yes, physically, we are what we eat.

But if you truly want to live a healthy life, a life full of confidence, peace, and growth it starts from how you see yourself.

It starts with self-esteem.

Most people look down on themselves.
They believe they can’t become anything.
They think their background or environment has already decided their future.

But that is a lie.

If you want to become confident, you have to start by loving yourself.

Not when everything is perfect.
Not when people approve of you.
Not when you "arrive."

Tell yourself daily;
I love myself.
I am growing.
I am becoming better.

Block out negative voices both from people and from your own mind.

Keep affirming it until it becomes real to you.

Because the way you see yourself will affect:
How you think
How you act
How you live

And eventually…

The kind of life you build.

Most people fail when trying to quit bad habits because they rely on willpower alone.
Here’s a better approach:
5 Steps to Stop Wasting Time;
1ļøāƒ£ Track your habit—see exactly how much time you spend.
2ļøāƒ£ Replace the habit with something productive. Don’t just delete.
3ļøāƒ£ Structure your day—plan before sleeping.
4ļøāƒ£ Track your wins—journal what you did and adjust.
5ļøāƒ£ Start small—10–30 minutes of productive action is a win.
Habits are automatic. Force doesn’t work. Systems do.
Which step will you start today? Comment below.
