I am so so angry😡😡😡
Not the kind of anger that comes and goes. The kind that sits in your chest like fire and makes you question the kind of world we live in.
What is it with some men and grape?
What exactly is so difficult about hearing the word NO?
When did “No” become “Convince me”?
When did rejection become an insult to your ego?
When did a woman’s body become something you think you’re entitled to simply because you want it?
Why does everything end in s*x?
A woman says no… you keep pushing.
She resists… you pressure her.
She refuses again… your ego is bruised, your body is aroused, and instead of walking away like a decent human being, you choose violence.
For what?
To satisfy yourself for a few minutes?
Is that all a woman’s dignity, peace, and life are worth to you?
Then when another woman is graped, the questions begin.
“Why did she go there?”
“Why did she trust him?”
“Why was she alone with him?”
Why are we asking her questions instead of asking the man why he couldn’t control himself?
Why is the burden always on women to avoid predators instead of on predators to stop preying?
Every time I read another grape story, I feel like vomitting🤮
A woman.
A female child.
Sometimes even their own relatives.
How does a human being become so empty inside that another person’s pain means nothing?
And now a 21 year old woman is dead. Dead.
Not because she committed a crime, but because someone allegedly violated her, and she was made to believe that justice would never reach the person who did it.
How many more?
How many more daughters?
How many more sisters?
How many more headlines before we stop treating grape like another news story?
Self control is not a superpower. It is the bare minimum expected of every human being.
A woman’s “No” is not a challenge. It is not flirting. It is not “playing hard to get.” It is a complete sentence.
If your ego cannot survive rejection, then your masculinity is as fragile as glass.m😡😡😡
