Tired of feeling that burn? Your sleep position might be the culprit! πŸ”₯πŸ›Œ

Look at this: sleeping on your right side can make it easy for stomach acid to leak into your esophagus. 😫
For a more peaceful sleep without the reflux, try sleeping on your left side. Use gravity to keep the acid where it belongs! πŸ€«β¬‡οΈ

Our eyes are incredibly resilient, but many everyday routines can silently damage them over time. Because vision changes often happen gradually, bad habits frequently go unnoticed until noticeable strain or damage occurs.
The most common habits that compromise long-term eye health include the following behaviors:

1. Excessive Screen Time Without Breaks
Staring at smartphones, tablets, or computers for hours forces the ciliary muscles in the eyes to constantly strain to maintain focus. Furthermore, people blink up to 50% less frequently when looking at screens, which accelerates tear evaporation and causes chronic dry eye syndrome.

2. Aggressive Eye Rubbing
Rubbing the eyes provides temporary relief from itching by stimulating tear flow, but the mechanical pressure can cause micro-tears in the delicate blood vessels. More seriously, chronic, hard rubbing can thin and warp the cornea (the clear clear front surface of the eye), leading to a progressive condition called keratoconus, or causing painful corneal abrasions.

Skipping Sunglasses (UV Exposure)
Failing to wear sunglasses with proper UV protection exposes the eyes to ultraviolet radiation. Over time, UV light damages the proteins in the eye's lens, significantly accelerating the development of cataracts (clouding of the lens) and increasing the risk of macular degeneration, which destroys sharp, central vision.

Smoking
Smoking is heavily linked to severe eye diseases. The toxins inhaled into the bloodstream restrict blood flow to the eyes and increase oxidative stress, doubling the risk of developing cataracts and making a person up to four times more likely to develop age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
