Kidney cancer is a disease where abnormal cells in the kidney grow uncontrollably and form a tumor. The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs that filter waste and extra fluid from the blood to make urine.
The most common type in adults is renal cell carcinoma (RCC).
Common Symptoms
Kidney cancer may not cause symptoms early, but possible signs include:
Blood in urine
Pain in the side or lower back
Lump or swelling in the side
Unexplained weight loss
Fatigue
Fever that keeps coming back
Loss of appetite
Sometimes it is discovered accidentally during scans for another condition.
Causes and Risk Factors.
The exact cause is not always known, but several factors increase risk:
1. Smoking: Smoking significantly increases the risk of kidney cancer.
2. Obesity: Excess body weight can affect hormone levels and increase risk.
3. High Blood Pressure: Long-term uncontrolled hypertension is linked to kidney cancer.
4. Family History/Genetics: Having close relatives with kidney cancer may increase risk.
5. Long-term Kidney Disease: People on long-term dialysis have a higher risk.
6. Exposure to Certain Chemical: Asbestos, Cadmium and Some industrial solvents
7. Certain Medications: Long-term misuse of some painkillers may contribute.
Recommended Foods

Healthy Fats
Avocado, Olive oil, Nuts (moderately)
Adequate Fluids

Foods to Limit
