Her husband begged her to wait until morning because it was already late, but she refused.

Wanting to make her happy, he finally said, “Alright, let’s go together.”

They walked around looking for a place that was still open, but everywhere had closed for the night.

The husband was exhausted and wanted to go back home, but she kept searching.

Eventually, they met a man who directed them to a spot that sells roasted plantain and fish until 2:00 a.m. The only problem? It was very far away
After all that walking, they finally got the food.
Then came the plot twist…

Ever since Ada lost her sight at the age of seven, the world around her became darker than the night itself.

But nothing hurt more than the cold heart of her stepmother, Mama Nkechi.

While other children woke up to warm meals and loving words, Ada woke up to insults.

You are nothing but a burden!" Mama Nkechi would shout every morning.

That day, Ada had not eaten since sunrise. Her stomach growled painfully as she sat quietly in a corner of the small mud house.

Suddenly, her stepmother threw an old basket at her feet.

Go to the farm and uproot the cassava before I come back! And don't return until you're done.

Ada held the basket tightly, her trembling fingers searching for her walking stick.

But Mama... I'm hungry.

Hungry? Did blindness stop you from working?" her stepmother snapped before slamming the door behind her.

With tears streaming down her cheeks, Ada slowly made her way to the lonely farm path.

Every step was filled with fear. She stumbled over stones, scratched her feet on thorns, and called out softly for help, but no one answered.

When she finally reached the farm, she knelt on the dry ground and began feeling around for the cassava stems.

African village chickens are so protective — they really match their owners sometimes! But me? I’m not like that o! 😅

Meanwhile, when you see chickens in some countries, people can carry them, pet them, and feed them without any drama.

Every morning, 14-year-old Lily noticed that her father always told her the same thing before she left for school

Eat well, study hard, and never worry about me.

Her father worked long hours as a construction worker.

He always came home tired, covered in dust, but he never missed asking her about her day.

One afternoon, Lily forgot her homework at home and ran back to get it.

When she opened the front door, she saw something that broke her heart.

Her father was sitting alone at the kitchen table, drinking a glass of water.

There was no food in front of him.

Lily looked at the lunchbox he packed for her every day. It was always full of sandwiches, fruit, and snacks.

She suddenly realized the truth.

Her father had been giving her his own lunch every day.

That evening, Lily quietly placed half of her dinner onto her father's plate.

He smiled and pushed it back toward her.

"I'm not hungry, sweetheart."

For the first time, Lily replied:
"Dad, I know."

Tears filled his eyes as she held his hand.

POV: It’s my first time at my boyfriend’s house, and his mom asked me to carry the pot of jollof rice to the dining table so everyone could eat.

I was feeling so proud because my future mother-in-law finally trusted me with an important assignment.

I was happily singing and dancing my way to the kitchen when… disaster almost happened! 😭😂

As I lifted the pot, I slipped and fell. But guess what? I saved the jollof rice! The pot never touched the ground. 🏆

Forget superhero movies — today I discovered I’m a real goalkeeper! ⚽🧤

I’m scared of animals, but I gathered all my courage and went to put the rope around its neck.

Two seconds later, the goat escaped, turned around, and chose violence. 😂
