Lately I've been thinking about something...

Many of us spend so much time being responsible that we forget to notice what makes us come alive.

Work.

Family.

Commitments.

Life.

And then one day, a conversation, a trip, a shared laugh, or time spent with the right people reminds us there is more to us than our responsibilities.

This month, I'm exploring the role of friendship, community and shared journeys in our wellbeing.

Because wellness isn't only about what we eat.

Sometimes it's also about who we do life with.

Half the year is gone already!

And the question I've been sitting with is this:

What has brought you most alive so far this year?

I’m not thinking productive. Or useful.
Not responsible for that matter.

One thing many women begin to realise in midlife…

is that constantly forcing yourself through everything eventually stops working.

Sometimes the shift begins when you slow down enough to pay attention.

To your body.
Your energy.
Your pace.
Your recovery.

Not with fear.

But with more awareness.

Many times pressure doesn’t first present as a breakdown.

Sometimes it’s subtler than that.

And because life still moves on…

many women don’t immediately connect these shifts to pressure.

But the body notices.

Perhaps this weekend is a good time to slow down a little…

and listen more closely to what your body may have been trying to say…

𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝘆!

In April, we focused on rhythm.

And if you paid attention…

something may have shifted.

Not dramatically.

But quietly.

For me, this journey didn’t start with rhythm.

It started when my body began to respond differently.

I was functioning.
Leading.
Delivering.

But something inside was no longer the same.

And that was the real signal.

It wasn’t just what I was doing.

It was how my body was handling pressure.

This month, we shift the conversation.

Not avoiding pressure.

But learning how to support your body through it.

Let’s talk honestly for a moment…

You’re trying.

You’re sleeping earlier.
You’re watching what you eat.
You’re even making time to move your body.

So it’s confusing…

when you still feel:

– tired for no clear reason
– easily irritated
– foggy during the day
– not quite like yourself

This is where many women get stuck.

Because it feels like:

“I’m doing everything right… so what’s wrong?”

The truth?

It’s not just about what you’re doing.

It’s how your body is responding to it.

In this season, your body becomes more sensitive to:

– timing
– consistency
– how supported your system actually feels

So you can be doing “the right things”…

but without rhythm,

your body still struggles to settle.

This is the shift we’re making this month.

Not more effort.

Better alignment.

I started noticing something…

Even when I slept,
I didn’t always feel refreshed.

I still felt off during the day.

Then something became clear.

My body wasn’t lacking effort.

It was lacking rhythm.

So I made a few small adjustments:

– I started eating earlier in the evening
– I became more consistent with my meal times
– I created a simple “lights out” routine

Nothing extreme.

Just more intentional.

And slowly…

My body began to respond differently.

My sleep felt deeper.
My energy became steadier.

That’s the thing about this phase.

Your body doesn’t need more pressure.

It needs better support.

Not perfection.

Just alignment.

Let me ask you something honestly…

Do you eat late…
and then wonder why sleep feels off?

Or why you wake up tired?

It’s not random.

When your body is still working to digest food late at night…

It doesn’t fully switch into rest.

So you may:
– fall asleep… but not deeply
– wake during the night
– wake up feeling like you didn’t rest

Nothing dramatic.

Just a system that hasn’t settled.

Try this tonight:

👉 Eat a little earlier
👉 Notice how your body responds

Not perfectly.

Just intentionally.

I thought fixing my sleep would fix everything.

But my days still felt off.

Energy up… then down.
Focus comes… then disappears.

That’s when I understood:

It wasn’t just rest.

It was rhythm.
