HOW TO OVERCOME COMMON BREASTFEEDING CHALLENGES.

🟢 *Sore/Painful Ni***es:* Ensure proper positioning and a good latch. Seek medical help if pain persists.

🟢 *Low Milk Supply:* Feed frequently, stay hydrated, eat well, and breastfeed on demand to boost milk production.

🟢 *Breast Engorgement(Painfully full breasts):* Breastfeed often, express a little milk if needed, and use warm compresses (warm water) before feeds and cold compresses(cold water) afterward.

🟢 *Baby Won't Latch (Baby Has Trouble Sucking):* Encourage skin-to-skin contact, remain patient, and seek professional support if the problem continues.

🟢 *Returning to Work:* Discuss workplace support, and continue breastfeeding whenever possible.

Day 3: *WORLD BREASTFEEDING WEEK 2026*

*Breastfeeding Myths and Facts*

#1 MYTH:
Colostrum (the first thick yellowish milk) is dirty or bad for a newborn.

FACT:
Colostrum is your baby's first vaccine. It's rich in nutrients and antibodies that protect against infections and support healthy growth.

#2 MYTH:
Frequent breastfeeding means you have low milk supply.

FACT:
Newborns have tiny stomachs and need to feed often. Frequent feeding is normal and helps increase milk production.

#3 MYTH:
Breastfeeding should always be painful.

FACT:
Breastfeeding is a learned skill. While mild discomfort may occur at first, persistent pain isn't normal and may mean your baby needs a better latch.

#4 MYTH:
Waiting longer between feeds increases milk production.

FACT:
Breast milk works on supply and demand. The more often your baby feeds, the more milk your body produces.

#5 MYTH:
You should stop breastfeeding if you become sick.

FACT:
In most cases, you can continue breastfeeding. Your milk contains antibodies that help protect your baby, even when you are ill.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
To every woman carrying responsibilities silently…
To the woman raising children, building a career, supporting family, and still trying to find herself…
To the woman who has been strong for everyone else…
I see you.
Women are the quiet pillars of homes, communities, and nations. We nurture life, we heal, we build, we sacrifice, and we rise again even when life tries to break us.
But today is also a reminder: a woman must not only support others — she must believe in herself too.
Support another woman.
Encourage another woman.
Open doors for another woman.
When women stand for women, the world changes.
To every woman reading this:
You are strong.
You are valuable.
You are more powerful than you think.
Happy International Women’s Day.
