2026 International Nurses Day Celebration | Baptist Medical Centre Saki Nurses
"On May 12th the world paused to celebrate nurses. But at Baptist Medical Centre Saki, we didn’t just celebrate — we served.
One of our key highlights this year was a one-day Breast Cancer Awareness outreach held on Wednesday May, 6th at the 244 Recce Battalion, Asabari Barracks, Saki.
It was more than a health talk. It was a heart-to-heart conversation. Our caring nurses took the stage to educate both the men and women of the barracks. Because breast cancer doesn’t only affect women — it touches wives, mothers, sisters, and daughters that our soldiers love.
The Asabari Barracks community received us with open arms under the leaders of Capt. V N Okeibunor. Soldiers, spouses, and families listened, asked questions, and committed to early detection. That reception reminded us why nurses go beyond the hospital walls.
This International Nurses Day, BMC Saki Nurses proved it again: Nursing is not just a profession. It’s compassion in action. Happy International Nurses Day to every nurse who heals, teaches, and protects. We care, we serve, we save."
