PLEASE, BE CAREFUL WITH PAINKILLERS. 🥺💊

That painkiller you take casually because of headache, body pain, period pain or back pain may not be as harmless as you think.

Especially when you’re taking it too often, in high doses, or without proper guidance.

Some painkillers, particularly NSAIDs like ibuprofen, diclofenac and naproxen, can affect the kidneys, especially in people who already have kidney problems, dehydration, heart failure, or certain other health conditions.

And the tricky part?

Kidney damage may not give you obvious symptoms in the beginning.

So please, don’t make painkillers part of your everyday routine just because they are easy to buy.

If you find yourself needing pain medication frequently, please find out WHY you’re having the pain instead of continuously masking it with drugs.

And before you take any medication regularly, talk to your pharmacist or doctor.

Have you ever wondered whether the painkiller you take regularly is safe for your kidneys?

“But I feel fine, so how can my BP be high?” 🤔

This is something I hear a lot.

The truth is, high blood pressure can be there without giving you any obvious symptoms. You can be going about your normal activities, eating, working, sleeping and feeling perfectly okay, while your BP is quietly doing damage.

That is why hypertension is often called a silent killer.

Over time, uncontrolled high blood pressure can affect your heart, brain, kidneys and eyes.

So please, don’t wait until you have a headache or feel dizzy before you check your BP.

Check it even when you feel fine. ❤️

And if you’ve already been diagnosed with hypertension, please take your medications as prescribed and don’t stop them simply because you’re feeling better.

Your body doesn’t always give you a warning before something is wrong.

When last did you check your BP? 👀
