WHO WROTE THE BOOK OF MOSES

In the Bible, when we speak about the “Book of Moses,” we are referring to the first five books of Scripture. These are Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. These books are traditionally known as the Law or the Torah. According to Scripture and long standing biblical understanding, Moses is the one through whom God gave these writings.

The Bible itself confirms this in several places. For example, Exodus 24:4 says Moses wrote down everything the Lord had said. Also, in Deuteronomy 31:9, it clearly states that Moses wrote this law and gave it to the priests.

However, it is important to understand something deeper. Moses was not writing from human imagination. He was writing by divine revelation. God revealed events, laws, history, and instructions to him. This includes even the account of creation in Genesis, which Moses did not witness physically but received spiritually from God.

So yes, Moses wrote what we call the Book of Moses in the Bible, but the true author behind it is God Himself.

It is unlikely that you will be permanently placed in an environment that fails to appreciate your contributions, regardless of the vision you have for serving there. You may be present for a period of training and learning, but remain attentive to the moment when it is time to move forward.

2. Stagnation in Personal Growth Upon Joining

Consider the scenario where you were a leader during your academic years. Upon graduation, you join a church and find yourself unable to engage in active service for an extended period due to existing structures. It is improbable that you will remain indefinitely in a setting that hinders your growth.

3. The Pastor Exhibits Inauthenticity

Reflect on an experience where you contemplated joining a church after weeks of worship, only to have the pastor request that attendees bring candles for prayer. The fact that someone started well does not guarantee they will continue on the right path. Exercise discernment when deviations occur unexpectedly.

Distinguish between a leader who nurtures your gifts and one who feels threatened by them. Engaging in conflict with your pastor—whether through physical altercation, verbal disputes, or acts of rebellion and gossip—can result in significant spiritual, emotional, and relational repercussions. Below are some of the potential consequences:

1. Spiritual Consequences:
- Loss of spiritual protection: As stated in Hebrews 13:17, it is advised to obey those who lead us. Opposing your pastor may sever your connection to spiritual guidance.
- Impeded spiritual growth: Feelings of bitterness and rebellion can obstruct your spiritual advancement, as noted in Hebrews 12:15.
- Vulnerability to adversarial forces: Discord can provide opportunities for malevolent influences to intervene, as mentioned in Ephesians 4:27.

2. Loss of Blessings:
- Dishonor may curtail the influx of blessings in your life, as indicated in 1 Samuel 2:30.
- You might forgo prophetic insights or guidance intended to assist you.

BE CAREFUL WHO YOU INVITE INTO YOUR PULPIT

Hello Friends!
There are moments in ministry that you have to open your eyes deeply and remind yourself that not everyone who carry microphone carry the Spirit of God.

We once invited a young preacher from somewhere, someone who had ministered in our church before. But this time, something felt different.

As he began to “prophesy,” everything looked powerful on the surface but in my spirit, there was a disturbance. He called out a lady and began revealing details: names, family issues, even claiming her father said to be a Muslim had just died and was in the mortuary.

The lady screamed, affirmed everything, and even pointed to another woman as her mother. The atmosphere was intense but something wasn’t right.

Then, quietly, the Holy Spirit whispered to me “This is arranged.”

At that moment, discernment replaced excitement. The Spirit made it clear this was not prophecy, this was performance. A rehearsed act, carefully staged for attention and glory.

Later, it was confirmed: the people he ministered to were brought by him. Everything had been planned.

Even more, the details didn’t align with truth. In Islam, the dead are buried quickly often within 24 hours not kept in the mortuary for a week as he claimed. It was a clear fabrication on God’s altar.

Another incident exposed the deception further. A number was taken beforehand and used during “prophecy” to create a false sense of accuracy but it didn’t even match the person he called out. What was meant to impress only brought confusion and shame.

After the service, I confronted him. He denied everything. But there was no need for argument I had already received clarity from the holy Spirit.

I chose peace. I walked away. I told my pastor to block him.

Salvation is not about following traditions, rituals, or simply belonging to a church. True salvation is about knowing God personally through the Lord Jesus Christ. Religion can teach rules, but only a relationship with Christ can forgive sins, change the heart, and give eternal life.

God did not send His Son so that we would only practice religion, He sent Jesus so that we could be reconciled to Him and walk with Him daily. When a person trusts Christ as Savior, they begin a living relationship with God that continues now and lasts forever.

Christian life is not just attending services it is walking with God, praying to Him, obeying His Word, and growing closer to Him each day.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

THE DANGERS OF HAVING CARNAL LEADERS IN THE CHURCH

Having carnal leaders (leaders who are spiritually immature, flesh-driven, and not led by the Holy Spirit) in the church can cause serious damage. The Bible says, “For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work” (James 3:16).

Here are the major dangers:

1. They Create Division and Strife
Carnal leaders operate in jealousy, competition, and insecurity.
Instead of promoting unity, they:
Compare themselves with others
Form cliques and factions
Sow seeds of discord
This weakens the church spiritually and emotionally.

2. They Seek Personal Glory
Rather than glorifying God, they:
Crave recognition
Fight for titles and positions
Preach to impress, not to transform
The church becomes personality-centered instead of Christ-centered.

3. They Misuse Authority
Carnal leaders often:
Control people harshly
Manipulate members
Make decisions based on emotions
Instead of shepherding the flock gently, they dominate it (1 Peter 5:2-3).

4. They Lack Spiritual Discernment
Because they are flesh-driven:
They cannot properly discern spiritual matters
They may promote wrong people
They mishandle sensitive situations
This opens the door for error and confusion.

5. They Block Spiritual Growth
A carnal leader cannot take people beyond where they are spiritually.
If the leader is:
Prayerless
Word-deficient
Spiritually shallow
The church will remain spiritually stagnant.

6. They Are Easily Offended
Carnal leaders:
React emotionally to correction
Hold grudges
Turn small issues into major crises
This creates instability in leadership.

The manner in which church members treat their pastors holds significant importance, as it influences both the well-being of the church and the spiritual development of its members.

Outlined below are biblically-guided approaches for church members to engage with their pastors:

1. With Honor and Respect
According to 1 Timothy 5:17, "Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour…” A pastor merits honor, not due to personal perfection, but because of the esteemed position they hold. It is advisable to refrain from insults, mockery, or undue familiarity.

2. With Prayer Support
Pastors often confront spiritual challenges that may remain unseen by the congregation. As stated in Hebrews 13:18, “Pray for us…” and 1 Thessalonians 5:25, “Brethren, pray for us.” Instead of resorting to criticism, offer prayers for the pastor’s strength, wisdom, health, and family.

3. With Obedience to Godly Leadership
Hebrews 13:17 advises, “Obey them that have rule over you, and submit yourselves…” Should the pastor provide leadership in accordance with Scripture, members are encouraged to cooperate and support the church's vision.

Many people hesitate to serve God because they feel they are not talented enough, educated enough, or strong enough. But the Bible shows us that God is not looking for perfect people—He is looking for willing hearts. When someone is ready to obey, serve, and trust Him, God provides the strength and ability needed for the work.

Throughout Scripture, God used ordinary people like Moses, David, Peter, and many others to accomplish extraordinary things. Their effectiveness did not come from their own perfection, but from their willingness to follow God.
