🦠🔬 While examining a stool sample, I observed multiple cyst-like structures that raised an interesting diagnostic question. These cysts appear round to oval in shape, with a relatively thick wall and contain multiple nuclei (often more than four). On closer observation, the nuclei show eccentric karyosomes with uneven peripheral chromatin, and some cysts appear more mature with an increased number of nuclei. The morphology looks familiar but can easily be confused with other intestinal protozoa, making careful identification essential in routine lab work.
