I am extremely excited to be reunited with friends and family after more than a year of alternating lockdowns and social distancing. But I also sense a bit of anxiety (yes if you are prone to anxiety, even the happiest of circumstances can be a trigger).
If you feel like you are the only one who is dreading "returning to normality", you are not alone.
On Tuesday the 29th of June at 6pm CET I will be live online with two other wellness experts Oonagh Helen English and Carly Victoria to discuss some practical tips for navigating social anxiety as we come out of lockdown
In this panel, each of us will be sharing what has helped us both personally and professionally to reduce anxiety. All live attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the event. This event is FREE to join and is hosted in partnership with Bien Etre

In order to manage stress first, we need to understand it.
Stress is a physiological response of the body that is linked to perceived threats.
So what are perceived threats in modern life?

The possibilities of being run down by a bus or a bicycle, are threats in the same way as physical attacks are threats and attacks from microbes and viruses.
But there's a whole other category of perceived threats that are very important to understand in the work environment, which are social and emotional threats.

Why do we perceive deadlines or certain aspects of work as threats? What is the fear behind it? If we understand that, we can start work with the causes of stress and improve our working life.

The end result of adopting not just this new tiny habit, but also the mindset behind it, was that I ended up smiling more and more brightly into the day ahead. Not just because of the confidence in my healthy teeth, but because I had implemented mindfulness into the very beginning of my day, ensurin
