How do fragmented personal and collective memories shape our understanding of identity and history?
Hole and Trace examines how memories that are shaped by cultural forces—both individual and shared—are constructed, preserved, and mobilised. This question unites the artists, each of whom explores how memory—through both its presence and absence—impacts our understanding of history and identity.
