We are pleased to announce that Edward R. Schiettecatte, Founder & CEO of BRAINM Clinics, is joining the company’s Board of Directors.
Edward brings to the Board a unique combination of Wall Street experience, private equity expertise, entrepreneurship and healthcare innovation.
Before moving into healthcare, Edward spent more than a decade in international investment banking, including roles with Merrill Lynch, Rothschild & Co and Jefferies in New York, advising publicly-traded companies and institutional investors on complex M&A, IPO and other capital market transactions.
He subsequently moved into venture capital and private equity in Europe, becoming a partner at ORAXYS Environmental Private Equity, and a founding partner of Smartfin, investing in and building high-growth European technology companies.
That experience has strongly influenced his approach to healthcare entrepreneurship. Edward went on to found TRAINM Clinics, a European leader in technology-enabled neurorehabilitation, followed by BRAINM Clinics, built around the conviction that the future of mental healthcare will increasingly converge around mental health, brain health and longevity.
Edward holds a MSc in Business Engineering from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and
Management at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a Juris Doctor degree from University of Paris I:
Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Edward’s appointment to the Board further
strengthens the alignment between entrepreneurial leadership, clinical innovation and international expansion as BRAINM Clinics enters its next phase of growth.
