Autumn in the Netherlands has arrived exactly as expected- with rain 😅 So this traditional umbrella tattoo by Ruan Pablo 🕸 Traditional Tattoo Artist Amsterdam felt like the perfect piece to share today.

What a summer it was. We were fully booked day after day, and Ruan created more traditional tattoos than we could share in real time. Now, we’re finally catching up.

Her First Tattoo- straight down the spine.

With a piece this precise, every detail matters- because every detail becomes part of the whole.

This lettering design was carefully placed along the spine. The alignment, spacing, scale and natural movement of the body all needed to work together as one composition.

This Japanese-inspired large-scale tattoo has been growing with client for years. The chest and both upper arms were completed some time ago and are now fully healed. Célio is currently extending the composition down both forearms.

Seeing fresh work beside tattooed skin that has settled for years is one of the most honest ways to evaluate a project. The contrast, readability and flow should remain strong not only on the day of the session, but as the tattoo becomes part of the body.

Célio has several ongoing full-chest, sleeve and body-suit projects like this. They are built step by step for the client’s comfort, but never planned as separate tattoos.

“The Last of Us” but this one is Alex’s story!

During the consultation, .tattoo realised how much this tattoo meant to him. So she went deeper- studying the original tattoo, watching the scenes and understanding the story behind it before translating it onto Alex’s body.

The placement, proportions and negative space were carefully adapted to his anatomy, keeping the design strong without making it feel too heavy.

✨ Because for us, custom tattooing starts with understanding what the tattoo means to the person wearing it.
