Most people think flexibility comes from pushing harder into a stretch.
FST takes a different approach.
We begin with gentle circumduction to help the nervous system relax and prepare for movement.
Next, the client actively participates using PNF (contract-relax) techniques, allowing the body to gradually accept more range without forcing it.
As the movement progresses, we move into the Signature Stretch and eventually the Scorpion Stretch.
This creates space through the front of the hips, including the psoas, iliacus, re**us femoris, and TFL, while also opening the side body through the ribs, trunk, and spine.
The goal isn’t to see how far someone can stretch.
The goal is to help the body move with more freedom, better balance, and less tension.
