After an overwhelming amount of messages, I decided to share this beautiful suite that I’ve had the pleasure of working on for the past few years. Because I need to do something about my giant back log of photos, and especially because it’s way too good not to be seen 🥰

Pictured here is S in a truly collaborative project. Both of us come up with ideas, we melt them together and then, starry-eyed and open-minded, start scanning through the jewelry selection and the archive. And whatever we come up with always turns out much better than we could have ever planned.

Pictured here is a very fresh vertical helix with all gold components by our 🤍 .hall. Rutilated quartz on top, 14k yellow gold all around.
The daith was pierced by when she guested at , and the 3rd lobe was pierced by my wife .piercing at .and.ritual.studio in Ghent, Belgium.

An ode, a platonic love letter, a post celebrating one of the people who always keep me grounded, accountable and focused (or as close to that as we can possibly get).

Pictured here is Sara; the quiet but fierce force behind NOVEMBER. Manager, team member, friend, confidante and everything in between. Sara and I have been working together for over a year now - what started with behind-the-scenes solo work turned into a front of house job, and I could not be honored that she’s there by my side through everything.

Pictured here are some bits and bobs she’s collected over the years (the daith jewelry was a present from her husband - take notes 📝).

I first pierced N roughly 3 or 4 years ago, when we did a conch piercing and she told me this was “officially her very last piercing” - because there was no more space left. A very dangerous thing to say to me 🥲

Sine then, we have pierced (on this ear) another conch, a daith, a hidden helix, 3 outer conches and 2 lobe piercings. And when she came in last week, she told me “we’re going to add a forward helix piercing next time”.

Whether we see each other twice in 24 hours or once a year, it’s always a dream project and a sweet personal interaction.

Who has the most beautiful daith piercing of them all?

Pictured here is a custom ring for E., in a daith I pierced for her roughly 5 years ago. We started with titanium, waited until we were sure which gemstones would work best with her own personal style and then made this dream piece happen!

If you were waiting for S’ other lobe; look no further. She decided to get her first lobes re-done by me in her 20s, and of course opted for something that she would fall madly in love with on a daily basis. Something that matched the piece on the other side but wasn’t the exact same… “balance, not symmetry”.

And this beautiful purple sapphire did just that.
And no, I don’t do starter jewelry (or “zweerknopjes” in Dutch); I’ll pierce you with your dream piece, always made of the highest quality material you can find on earth.

One of the most often-asked questions I hear at is always a polite and slightly hesitant one; “this might be a weird question, but do you also pierce lobes?”. And the answer will always be yes. A thousand times yes.

In 2026, many people still tell me that they will just get their first, second and third lobes done with a gun, “but definitely nothing beyond that because that’s not good for you”. And I’m here to debunk that myth; nothing done with a gun is good and safe, and no one who offers that service knows what they’re actually doing.

Besides, why even think about guns when you can treat yourself to a luxury experience with the most beautiful jewelry you’ll cherish for the rest of your life? 😏

Lieve allemaal,

Hoewel ik in het verleden in ál mijn communicatie altijd heb gezegd dat dit geen plek was voor leerling-piercers... is die tijd officieel aangebroken!
Zoals jullie misschien wel weten zoek ik al een geruime tijd naar Nederlandssprekende, vrouwelijke of nonbinaire piercers om het NOVEMBER-team te komen versterken. Er waren aanmeldingen genoeg die allemaal één ding gemeen hadden: ze waren álles wat ik niet wil voor mijn boutique.

En daarom besloot ik dat er maar één oplossing was: zelf iemand opleiden. Is dit jouw passie, maar heb je nooit de kans gekregen om het te leren? Ben je verliefd geworden op de kunst van lichaamsversiering en wil je dit op een fijne, zachte plek leren die niet draait om snelheid, maar om zorgvuldigheid? Waar we geen trends najagen, maar veiligheid, esthetiek en respect voor het lichaam?

Dan zoek ik jou.

Ik zoek iemand met een zacht innerlijk, iemand die warm met mensen omgaat, die écht luistert, die het prachtig vindt om iemand een goed gevoel te geven. Techniek kan ik je leren; karakter niet.

Als je winkelt bij NOVEMBER heb je natuurlijk geen gids nodig om je te vertellen hoe jij je “main character energy” aanspreekt… maar als je inspiratie nodig had: zoek niet verder.
In deze reel zie je stukken van het prachtige en mega-exclusieve merk Maria Black. Samen met nog 2 andere studio’s zijn wij de enige boutiques ter wereld die dit merk verkopen, de enige in Nederland, en… hebben we uiteraard stukken weten te bemachtigen waar er maar eentje van is gemaakt.
Letterlijk.
Kom snel langs, we hebben nog maar een hele beperkte voorraad over 🥰

Life is better in rose gold - at least for some of us. And it gets a million times better when you add the juiciest gemstones for a perfect harmony of colors. Joyce’s ears are covered in the most exquisite pieces, all in hues of purple and blue with tiny little white diamond accents.

Pictured here is a staple piece by /: a Beaded Baguette with an AA amethyst. Since Joyce’s lobes had previously been pierced quite low, we decided to fill out the remaining space above with standout pieces that create balance - and I like to think we absolutely nailed it 💕

Since working on the nostril project in the previous post, I’ve been blessed with more rose gold piercings in two weeks than I’ve done in my entire career - to the point that almost every single rose gold piece has sold out, which inevitably lead me to think “I should definitely order more jewelry” (me to me roughly every 0.5 seconds).   Pictured here is a staple that I try to stock year-round because the love for this piece is unparalleled: a classic Amity ring by . Beautiful S. decided to add a helix in the same session, which we adorned with an organically-shaped-rough-but-refined little gold nugget by .hall. To date, this is one of the most beautiful nostril projects I’ve ever gotten to work on. It has all of the things I love: rose gold (finally!!), high nostrils, unconventional placement and lots of creative freedom. She told me she wanted a piercing in between her low and high nostril piercing, towards her face, perfectly in the middle. I suggested doing that exact same piercing but towards the tip of the nose… and you can see the results here.  Joyce originally came into the studio for the lower nostril piercing a few years ago - her first one, besides her lobes. A few months later, she was building walls in the storefront that would go on to become NOVEMBER. 👃A. came in because his mentor and friend wanted to treat him to a new piece of jewelry for his septum - and I refused. I figured that no matter what we would put in that septum, it would look wrong and sad based on the way it was pierced (terribly). I asked him if I could remove the jewelry and re-pierce it correctly, through the actual “sweet spot” and in a way that would enhance his features, not downgrade them.

The local piercer had told him that this is what septum piercers are supposed to look like, that healing can easily take a year, that his nose was just off, that the jewelry was of the highest quality.

I get it. Septum piercings can be incredibly tricky, and can be really tough for me as well. It’s the reason why at every conference, septum classes are packed. Filled to capacity. It’s one of those piercings we as piercers can talk about at length, nit-pick every little detail and still see something wrong with it because imposter syndrome often rears its ugly head.
But what I don’t get is piercers cashing in on a job poorly done, telling you something is wonky because it’s swollen or because your anatomy is just wrong. Every great piercer does a terrible job sometimes too; the difference between a great piercer and a crappy one is the ability to say “This is not my best work. Will you let me fix it?”.
