Why did I choose these particular ingredients for my cosmetics?
Today I wanted to tell you about castor oil — specifically, what exactly it contains.
Castor oil mainly contains ricinoleic acid, which is the most abundant component. It has anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties.
It also contains oleic acid, which smooths and softens the skin, and linoleic acid, which helps support skin healing.
Castor oil also contains vitamin E, which helps protect the skin from aging.
It is also rich in proteins and minerals that support hair growth.
The proteins — amino acids derived from castor beans — are tiny molecules that can help support the structure of both hair and skin.
Castor oil also contains trace amounts of minerals such as:
* zinc, which supports hair growth and skin healing,
* magnesium, which helps with cell regeneration,
* iron, which supports skin oxygenation,
* calcium, which supports skin elasticity,
* and phosphorus, which plays a role in building cells.
