May 13 at Tomatoworld, Vivent Biosignals shared the latest insights from their ongoing trials on plant-driven irrigation. By translating electrical plant signals into concrete irrigation actions, Vivent is taking the next step toward more efficient water use and resilient cultivation strategies. The results so far confirm a key principle: the plant provides direct, real-time feedback that can outperform traditional control methods.
During the grower session, we explored how drought stress models, climate data, and different irrigation strategies come together in practice. Early findings show strong potential to optimize water use without compromising yield, while increasing robustness under varying conditions.
As an independent fieldlab, Tomatoworld enables these innovations to be tested, validated, and demonstrated in a real greenhouse environmentโbridging technology, data, and cultivation knowledge.
