Painterly Style Flowers 🌷 This was a scar coverup I did on the forearm recently.
What a lovely project - I absolutely love tattooing flowers in this style. 🩷 So much freedom and movement and playfulness in a design like this. A big thank you to my wonderful client for sitting so well and trusting me to make something beautiful for her.

Healed - 2 years 🔥 a Mexican Day of the Dead portrait I did for an amazing client two years ago. 🌷💀 This was such a fun project and not a style I tattoo too often.
This portrait hasn’t been touched up at all, so I’m really happy with how the greys and the whites have settled and stayed.
I’m keen to tattoo something similar again so if you have some realism / portrait ideas, let me know. 🔥
(no family portraits though, guys please, the stress 🤣).

✨ 8 Years of Tattooing - with Embla Holm ✨

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT IN THESE 8 YEARS ?

1. Clients are Everything. Without them we aren’t able to do what we do. They’re not always right, but they are the most important thing.

2. Trust yourself and your artistic vision. Create things that make you happy as an artist - whole still giving the client what they need.

3. Stay Humble - you don’t know everything and you’re never too old to learn. Honour your teachers, mentors, the artists that came before you.

4. Push yourself - don’t be scared to step it up. Improve your skills by trying new things, new styles, new tools, new techniques. Keep growing. Stagnation is the death of all creativity. Practise makes perfect - keep creating.

5. This is our passion, our way of life, not just a career, not just a hobby. No matter the challenges or the ups and down of tattooing - it’s a part of us. Sticking to it will give you so much more than you ever thought possible.

6. Most of all - Have fun! We are lucky enough to have found our passion, to create and make the world a more beautiful place with our art. Enjoy every minute.

I got to tattoo the most wonderful mom today.
She had this gorgeous phoenix tattoo done for her daughter 😁 who requested as much colour as possible! 🥹🌷
It was such a lovely tattoo to do - combining fineline with colour is always fun and I would love to do more of this!

The Cutest Collection of Fineline Patchwork tattoos on Dewi’s sleeve! ✨ I loved making this today, so many cool little thingies. A wonderful way to get a sleeve done but still have it girlie, feminine and subtle. 🌷 can’t wait to carry on with this project!
