🜂 Il peso del cielo

Atlante, nella mitologia antica, è colui che sostiene il cielo.
Ma in questa immagine il simbolo assume una lettura ancora più enigmatica: la prima vertebra cervicale dell’essere umano si chiama proprio atlante e sostiene il cranio.

Una coincidenza anatomica trasformata in simbolo: l’uomo che porta il mondo sulle proprie spalle e una vertebra che sostiene il mondo della sua mente.

Forse gli antichi non separavano così nettamente corpo, cosmo e conoscenza come facciamo oggi.

E quando osservi questi simboli da vicino, alcune connessioni iniziano a sembrare tutt’altro che casuali.

Il vero mistero è capire chi ha insegnato all’uomo a guardare il cielo dentro se stesso.

We thought we were joining a Lakota Tribe Shamanic drum-making workshop.

It turned out to be so much more.

While traveling through Italy, we unexpectedly found this workshop led by someone I had met less than a year ago in the Netherlands. It felt like one of those moments you simply know you’re meant to say yes to.

Over two days, we created our own drums.

But somewhere along the way, we realized we weren’t just making a drum.

We were learning about ourselves.

Our biggest lesson?

We don’t have to do everything alone.

Asking for help. Trusting the process. Laughing when things didn’t go as planned.

These drums will now become part of our work, guiding journeys and holding space for healing.

And every time we hear their beat, they’ll remind us that the greatest medicine isn’t the destination—

It’s who we become along the way. 🤍
