With Dutch Design Week | DDW 2026 just around the corner, we’re looking back at DDW 2025 and looking forward to another inspiring edition in Eindhoven! ✨

From 17–25 October, Collective Paper Aesthetics will be presenting From Kunstsilo with Love at Gebouw TX, together with Forward Furniture

From Kunstsilo with Love is an interactive installation that invites visitors to become part of the creative process. Over the nine days of the festival, the audience will co-create and shape the installation, making each interaction part of its evolving story.

We’re grateful to our long-standing partner, Labro Verpakkingen Eindhoven Kortom Karton in Eindhoven, who custom-made the materials in a beautiful autumnal colour palette for this edition.

Originally created for the opening of the Kunstsilo museum, the installation has since been presented at cultural institutions around the world, including Casula Powerhouse (NSW), THEMUSEUM (Ontario), Zuidparktheater in collaboration with MuseumLAB by Museon-Omniversum, Zuidwest and Festival De Betovering, ARoS Aarhus Art Museum.

Looking back at Dutch Design Week | DDW 2024 and looking ahead to DDW 2026, starting October 17!

This year, Collective Paper Aesthetics will be presenting From Kunstsilo with Love together with Forward Furniture at Gebouw TX.📍 Gebouw TX 📅 17–25 October 2026 🕚 Daily, 11:00–18:0

From Kunstsilo with Love is an interactive installation that will be co-created by visitors over the nine days of Dutch Design Week, inviting participation, exchange, and new perspectives through a shared creative experience.

The materials have been custom-made by our long-standing partner, Labro Verpakkingen BV Kortom Karton in Eindhoven, in a warm autumnal colour palette.

Originally created for the opening of the Kunstsilo museum, the installation has since been recreated for cultural institutions internationally, including Casula Powerhouse (NSW), THEMUSEUM (Ontario), Zuidparktheater in collaboration with MuseumLAB by Museon-Omniversum, Zuidwest and Festival De Betovering, and ARoS Aarhus Art Museum. Last year, it was also exhibited at the Anchorage Museum.

It was a pleasure collaborating with the wonderful team at the Musée national d’histoire naturelle Luxembourg - natur musée on an interactive presentation in the Future Living Room, the final room of the exhibition celebrating 30 years of the Natural History Museum in the Grund!

The HEART-board pyramid will be open for visitors to explore and interact with tomorrow during Museum Night! And if you can’t make it tomorrow, you’ll have until mid-March 2027 to experience it.

Wishing the dedicated team many more years of research, remarkable collections, exciting discoveries, and inspiring stories!

Setting up a NEW HEART-board Pyramid today at the Musée national dhistoire naturelle Luxembourg – Naturmusée!

The photo below was taken earlier this year at the opening of World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026, where the same modular cardboard system was used to create part of a temporary exhibition — with a completely different graphic treatment.

It’s always exciting to see how the same modular design can take on a new character in a different museum setting, while supporting hands-on learning, participation and family engagement. Looking forward to seeing the results of this week’s build in Luxembourg!

This week, we’ll be setting up a new project as part of an exhibition at the natur musée Musée national d’histoire naturelle Luxembourg

This is our first collaboration with a natural history museum, and I’m very excited about it.

For this project, and in collaboration with the exhibition curator, we recreated the HEART-board Pyramid with a new graphic concept, using the museum’s four visual identity colours along the edges of the polyhedra to highlight the points where the building blocks connect with one another.

I’m curious to see whether and how this shift in visual language will influence the way visitors approach, interact with and experience the design within the exhibition.

“Easily the most interactive and playful of the artworks on display, Light Lilies consists of a multitude of 3D polyhedrons constructed out of durable yet sustainable materials with a light source inside.” — Radecki, Lemonade

Days are getting shorter, and the season of light is beginning on this side of the world. ✨

This image of Light Lilies was taken during Botanica: Contemporary Art Outside 2023 in Brisbane.

For 10 days, 300 Bilunabirotunda modules transformed the botanical garden into a playful landscape of light. Half of the modules came together to form a luminous tower, while the other half invited visitors to play, experiment and co-create their own illuminated structures and shapes.

The result was an ever-changing installation shaped not only by the light, but by the people who interacted with it.

Light Lilies Volume 01 was created in collaboration with Deheerr de Man for Botanica: Contemporary Art Outside (2023), curated by the Museum of Brisbane, with support from the Stimuleringsfonds and the Arup Brisbane office.

A little Luxembourg news… 🇱🇺

After several memorable projects in the city over the years, Collective Paper Aesthetics will be back in Luxembourg in early October.

I’m not quite ready to share what’s taking shape yet, but it’s wonderful to be returning to a city that has been part of our story for so long.

Eventually, I really did make it to Phoenix — and what a week it was.

It began in Tucson, with a tour of three very different institutions: Tohono Chul, a botanical garden; Children's Museum Tucson and Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium, a university-embedded science centre. Three very different settings, each with its own way of connecting with its community.

Then came 2.5 full days at the Association of Science and Technology Centers conference — packed with conversations, presentations, new connections and plenty of ideas to take home. And, of course, some memorable evenings: from a night at Arizona Science Center to an evening at the Arizona Museum of Natural History.

A big thank you to Marcus Monenerkit, Director of Community Engagement at the Heard Museum for taking the time to meet in person and opening my eyes to the importance of community-rooted museum practice — and to the many ways cultural institutions can build meaningful relationships with the communities around them.

I was equally happy to connect with Tiffany Lippincott, Curator of Engagement at Phoenix Art Museum , and to have the chance to walk through the museum together on a day when so many art educators from across the region were visiting.

I left Phoenix with many new ideas, questions and connections — and a renewed curiosity about how participatory design, STEAM learning and creative environments can help museums create meaningful experiences for diverse audiences.

Thank you to everyone who made time for a conversation, shared a project, introduced me to someone new, or took the time to reconnect. I’m looking forward to continuing these conversations and seeing where they lead.
