Tattoos zijn een dure hobby, maar als je bedenkt hoeveel geld jij wel niet besteed aan eten of fysieke spullen dat je uiteindelijk toch weggooit of doorgeeft, ten opzichte van een tattoo die je heel je leven lang draagt, dan stelt het grote geld bedrag niks voor 😂

Het is maar vanuit welk perspectief je het bekijkt.

“Are hand poke tattoos more painful?”

One of the questions I get asked most often about hand poke tattoos is whether they hurt more than machine tattoos.

My answer?

Why don’t you find out yourself? ✺

Everyone experiences pain differently. Your pain threshold, the placement of the tattoo, your state of mind, it all plays a role. So there’s no universal answer to how painful a hand poke tattoo will feel.

What I can tell you is that from a practical and technical perspective, hand poke tattooing is a less invasive technique. There’s no machine, no vibration and the skin is worked in a more gradual way.

For me, hand poke is not just about the technique. It’s about slowing down, being present and creating a more conscious tattoo experience.

Tatoeëren is meer dan alleen het zetten van de tattoo. Ik heb geleerd dat het ook gaat over menselijke connectie en de ambacht achter het vak.

Iedereen verdient een fijne ervaring, of het nu je eerste tattoo is of de vijfde sessie van een rug stuk.

Als jij verbonden bent met je intuïtie dan vind je het juiste moment, bij de juiste persoon, op de plek waar het moet gebeuren.

Als je iemand bent die zich door het leven laat leiden door een sterke intuïtie, dan spreekt deze aanpak van het laten zetten van een tatoeage je misschien wel aan.

Ik heb geleerd dat ik dit kan omzetten in productieve energie, in plaats van in die staat van angst te blijven hangen.

En dat moet op een zachte manier gebeuren, want ik ben er bewust van dat thuis ben met mijn dochter en voor haar zorgen is ook een gewoon een baan erbij, wat ook energie kost.

Voordeel is dat ik op m’n dooie gemak een goeie saoto soep en wortelgember sapjes kan maken zodat ze morgen weer goed in haar vel zit 💪🏽

Can’t wait for the next sesh with Marieke. Also her second tattoo btw. Go big or go home 🌝
