Community Pharmacy Section of FIP Welcome to the official Community Pharmacy Section page: representing community pharmacists.

The Community Pharmacy Section has several objectives:

*To improve the professional standards of pharmacy and encourage realisation of the social aims of the profession as a part of public health and as a pharmaceutical service to the community.

*To plan and be responsible for the activities of the International Pharmaceutical Federation in the field of community pharmacy; in particular:
**To pr

ovide and exchange information that assists in the coordination and improvement of the scientific, technical and professional activities of community pharmacists;
**To organize meetings for members of the section during FIP congresses such as the World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, in accordance with approved general congress programmes;
**To study and report on any matter of interest to community pharmacists. Our mission is to assist pharmacists, wherever they live and practise, in the delivering of medicines, health products and services that will improve medicine use and advance patient care.

We are thrilled to celebrate a true milestone for the FIP Community Pharmacy Section (CPS) ahead of the FIP World Congress in Montreal 2026! 🇨🇦
This year, we experienced significantly growing interest from colleagues worldwide who were eager to contribute to our scientific programme. As a result, we formed a historic panel of 30+ expert reviewers from across the globe.
Together, this incredible team reviewed 224 abstract submissions showcasing cutting-edge research and practice. Following a meticulous evaluation process, 13 outstanding submissions have been selected to be featured in the upcoming dynamic Rapid Fire Session in Montreal. 🚀

FIP is inviting practising community pharmacists to take part in an international insight board on early life nutrition, taking place on 8 May 2026 at 11:00 CEST. This session will bring together pharmacists from across Europe to share experiences following a recent infant formula recall, and to discuss their needs for further information and support in providing advice to parents and caregivers, while helping rebuild trust in this area.
Why join?
• Share your experience from community pharmacy
• Highlight your needs for information and support in early life nutrition
• Contribute to shaping future FIP guidance
• Exchange perspectives with colleagues across Europe
Who we are looking for:
Community pharmacists (particularly in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the UK) who are already involved in providing advice on infant feeding / early life nutrition in their daily practice.

FIP CPS President in the Philippines | Strengthening the Voice of Pharmacy
The President of the FIP Community Pharmacy Section Sherif Guorgui (FFIP) delivered a compelling keynote at the Philippine Pharmacists Association, Inc.
n Conference in Vigan City, engaging with over 5,000 pharmacists and stakeholders.
In his address, he emphasized the critical importance of ensuring that the pharmacy profession continues to tell its own story—highlighting the vital role pharmacists played during the pandemic and reinforcing the need for an expanded scope of practice worldwide, supported by fair and equitable remuneration.
A key highlight of the conference was leading the Renewal of Commitment to the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) Development Goals, reflecting a shared global vision to advance pharmacy practice and align local actions with international priorities.
The visit also provided a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues across the Philippines, strengthening collaboration and professional unity.
We look forward to continued global engagement and to welcoming the community at the upcoming FIP Congress 2026 in Montreal.
