Spooky ode to Utrecht, the city where Niels is from and where I work. Dick Bruna once walked in the dunes with his little son, they saw a rabbit running around. Dick made up a little story about this rabbit to entertain his son. Nowadays this rabbit and his stories are famous worldwide by the name “miffy” or “Nijntje” 💙

This one is based on a photo of a girl walking on the beach. I prefered to turn the sea into a simple pattern. I’ve always liked the combination of lines and/or shapes with something detailed. Thanks allot for traveling Estelle, I appreciate it allot!

Yesterday I had the special honor of tattooing the strongest man on the planet. This guy is amazing. He’s able to show how beautiful this world is and teach to live within it. He's able to forgive and even understand when one absolutely messed up. He once build an independent strong man out of an insecure little boy. He has a heart of actual gold and an eternal sparkle in his eyes. It’s my papa and my papa is the best 💙

Pepe wrote me his story and asked if I could design something from it. He has gone through a traumatic experience being bullied in school for being gay. He went through a heavy depression because of that. This tattoo is showing that he was brave in that time, got loose from the weight that was holding him down by looking hopefully towards the future. Thank you Pepe for trusting me and sharing your story. Let’s all try our best to create a future where lhbtiq+ kids will never feel ashamed for who they are anymore. The weight these kids have to carry on such a young age is insane and very unhealthy. Let’s talk about it more and normalize being different so much that the ‘normal’ ones become the boring weirdo’s. 💙

I used a different technique for this one. Normally I go for a more dotted style but this time I chose mainly for an engraved technique like the old masters did when they were etching. All these tiny lines help to define direction. This being mixed some dotted parts create different textures and depth. The image is based on a design by an unknown artist, I tweaked it a bit but the main concept is not mine. Thanks Desney for your trust!
