In April, we opened the doors of Novavis for the very first time.
What started as a pilot week with a small group of guests and ambassadors turned into something much more meaningful than we had expected.
The interesting thing is that we, the founders and hosts, were not standing on the sidelines. We took part in the week ourselves. We joined the walks, the creative sessions, the conversations, the horse-guided experience, the moments of silence and reflection.
And even though we had designed every activity and knew exactly what was coming, we were surprised by its impact.
Somehow, life felt more vivid.
Our thoughts became clearer.
Things that had been sitting quietly in the background suddenly had space to be heard.
It reminded us why we created Novavis in the first place.
We often struggle to explain what Novavis is, because it is not quite a retreat, not quite a workshop, and not quite a holiday.
The phrase that feels closest is this:
An escape to yourself.
That is exactly how our guests described it.
A rare opportunity to step away from everyday routines and spend time in nature, in conversation, in creativity, and in reflection. A place where different parts of yourself are invited back into the picture. You paint. You walk. You listen. You laugh. You spend time with horses. You notice the sea, the wind, the scent of pine trees. And somehow, all of those experiences start speaking to each other.
One of our guests said that for the first time in a long while, she felt she was doing something purely for herself, not for her family, not for work, not for anyone else’s expectations.
That stayed with us.
Because beneath all the activities, that is really what Novavis is about: creating enough space to hear yourself again.
The energy we brought home from this first week is hard to describe, but it was strong enough that we immediately started planning what comes next.
We are now opening registrations for our autumn programs, and some guests have already reserved their places for spring 2027.
If you have been feeling the need to pause, reconnect, reflect, or simply spend a week differently, perhaps this is your invitation.
