Could clomiphene citrate help with low testosterone?

For men who want to preserve fertility or cannot take testosterone therapy, clomiphene citrate (CC) may be an option.

A recent study found that about 47% of men responded well to CC within 12 weeks. Lower levels of LH and no history of certain hormone-blocking treatments were linked to a better response.

Hormones play an important role in male s*xual desire, arousal, and erectile function.

Updated ICSM recommendations examine the influence of testosterone, prolactin, thyroid hormones, oxytocin, kisspeptin, and other hormones. The review highlights testosterone’s central role and provides evidence-based guidance on which hormones should and should not be routinely assessed in men experiencing s*xual dysfunction.
