Hi friends!
It has been a while.
First, let me say thank you for being here, and pardon my absence.
As many of you know, the last 4.5 years have been a journey unlike anything I could have imagined. My life has been packed into suitcases as I’ve traveled the world, learning, growing, and dedicating much of my time on international collaborations and to charity works across Southeast Asia. Through yoga, I’ve had the privilege of serving communities, supporting those in need, and touching lives far beyond Halden, Norway. Along the way, those experiences have changed me just as much as I hope I’ve changed others.
Leaving wasn’t easy. It was a deeply personal decision.
Like everyone else, I’ve experienced seasons of joy, uncertainty, heartbreak, healing, and transformation. As a yoga teacher and simply as a human being, I, too, have faced difficult times. Those moments reminded me of something I often shared with my students: “you cannot pour from an empty cup. You must first take care of yourself before you can truly take care of others.“
So I chose myself.
I trusted the universe, even when I couldn’t see where the path was leading. Looking back, it has been incredibly generous to me. Sometimes growth asks us to step outside our comfort zone. Sometimes it asks us to let go of people, places, or chapters we’ve outgrown. That can be one of the hardest practices of all…but often, it’s where we discover who we truly are.
Not a single day has passed without me thinking about all of you.
I have never forgotten our time together in Halden. Teaching you, practicing with you, laughing, breathing, and growing together are memories I will always treasure. I miss sharing the mat with you every single day.
And no… our story isn’t over.
I will be back, and I can’t wait to practice with you again.
Many of you have asked if I still practice yoga.
The answer is a wholehearted YES.
Yoga is no longer something I do, it’s who I am. Just like breathing or drinking water, it has become part of my everyday life. I honestly can’t imagine living without it.
Travel has filled my life with incredible experiences, but it has also reminded me why I fell in love with yoga in the first place. That’s why I’m here again, to start sharing my journey with you.
I want to take you with me wherever life leads. I hope my experiences inspire you, encourage you, and perhaps give you the little spark you need if you’ve drifted away from your own practice.
Because here’s the truth:
The mat is where we learn yoga. Life is where we practice it.
Yoga isn’t only about poses. It’s about how we speak to ourselves. How we treat others. How we breathe through difficult moments. How we choose kindness, patience, compassion, and presence every single day.
So today, I’m inviting you to give yourself just five minutes.
Take a few deep breaths.
Go for a mindful walk in nature.
Sit quietly with yourself.
Or simply unroll your mat again.
Whatever your practice looks like today, begin there.
I’m so grateful you’re still here, and I look forward to sharing this journey with you once again.
If you’d like to be part of this next chapter with me, I’d love to welcome you to my private community, YOGA4YOU WITH EDNA
