autumn's arrival...

25/09/2026

on autumn equinox, day & night are equal.

this is a good time to examine the concept of yin & yang energy balance. our energy shifts to the yin aspect until the spring equinox. we shift to a more internal, quiet energy and we find rest.

☯️ yin energy qualities (associated with the left side of the body):
downward moving, receptive, empty, quiet, dark, creative

☯️ yang energy qualities(associated with the right side of the body):
upward moving, giving, full, bright, forward moving

left side of the body:
🫀descending aorta
⬇️ descending colon

right side of the body:
🫀superior (ascending) vena cava
⬆️ ascending colon

these events are what keeps culture and communities ALIVE. this is what keeps people alive, what keeps love alive, what creates and maintains connection.

coming to america often includes giving up the culture that makes you, YOU.

BUONA FESTA from feasts past 🇮🇹

living in little italy during the feast is like bts and never having to leave the party entirely, just finding a safe bedroom (and clean bathroom) when you're no longer interested in interacting but still catching the fun energy vibes of the party

4 days is plenty, though

for any festival
