At age 17, she was rejected from college.

At age 25, her mother died from disease.

At age 26, she moved to Portugal to teach English.

Her husband abused her. Despite this, her daughter was born.

Student Union Raising voice for Dr. Sanduk Ruit: नेपाल विधार्थी संघले डा. सन्दुक रुईतको जिवनी कक्षा १० को नेपाली विषयको पाठ्यक्रमबाट हटाएर उहाँको बारेमा कक्षा ४ को नेपाली, कक्षा १० को सामाजिक विज्ञान तथा प्रविधि, कक्षा ८ को नेपाली र कक्षा ७ को अंग्रेजी विषयको पाठ्यक्रममा समावेश गरिएता पनि विगतमा कक्षा १० को पाठ्यक्रममा समावेश गरिए जस्तो पूर्ण नरहेको र असान्दर्भिक ढंगले परिमार्जित गरिएकोमा गम्भीर ध्यानाकर्षण गराउँदै विगतमा कक्षा १० को नेपाली विषयमा समावेश गरिएको जीवनी नै सान्दर्भिक, तुलनात्मक रूपमा उत्कृष्ट र महत्वपूर्ण रहेको हुनाले पुनः उक्त जीवनी कक्षा १० को पाठ्यक्रममा नै समावेश गरि नैतिक शिक्षा र जिवन उपभोग कार्यान्वयन गर्न माग गरेका छन्।
