In recent years Chitwan district has become an outstanding district in Nepal and achieved great height particularly in the health sector because of its central location and easy accessibility from all parts of Nepal. The Chamber of Trade and Commerce of Narayangarh has proposed Bharatpur as a “Medical City” because of College of Medical Sciences and its specialized teaching hospital, multiple government and non government medical institutions.
