I worked at Kastamandap International Hospital for almost 9 months, giving my full dedication and hard work. Unfortunately, during this time, salaries were never paid on time. I never complained about it, hoping things would improve.

Right before my flight to the U.S., I desperately needed my pending salary. I called and texted the hospital owner (who is also a doctor) countless times, but he never responded. I even informed the accountant that my flight was only a week away, yet nothing was done. Even a day before my departure, I was still expecting payment, but sadly it never came.

Now, it has been more than 20 days since I left, but there is still no communication or effort from the hospital regarding my salary. This is not a small amount that I could just let go—it is my hard-earned money. My family could really use it, and it breaks my heart that despite working so hard, I am being treated this way.

What hurts the most is the lack of basic respect. I was not asking for charity—I was simply asking for the salary I earned. To make matters worse, I didn’t even receive an experience letter from the hospital.

It is deeply disappointing that a healthcare institution, led by a doctor, treats its staff this way. Issues like these may be common in Nepal, but that does not make them acceptable. Healthcare workers deserve dignity and fairness.

I am sharing my story because I don’t want others to go through the same. If anyone knows the proper legal way to file a complaint in Nepal against this kind of malpractice, I would be grateful for your guidance.
