⚠️TONSILLITIS

Tonsillitis is an infection of your tonsils, two masses of tissue at the back of your throat.

▪️Types of tonsillitis
1️⃣Acute tonsillitis. These symptoms usually last 3 or 4 days but can last up to 2 weeks.

2️⃣Recurrent tonsillitis. This is when you get tonsillitis several times in a year.

3️⃣Chronic tonsillitis. This is when you have a long-term tonsil infection.

▪️Tonsillitis Symptoms

The main symptoms of tonsillitis are inflamed and swollen tonsils, sometimes severe enough to make it hard to breathe through your mouth. Other symptoms include:

3️⃣Red tonsils

4️⃣A white or yellow coating on your tonsils

5️⃣Painful blisters or ulcers on your throat

✅drink plenty of fluids.

✅get lots of rest.

✅gargle with warm salt water several times a day.

✅use throat lozenges.

✅use a humidifier to moisten the air in your home.

❌avoid smoke.

✅take acetaminophen(paracetamol)or ibuprofen to reduce pain and inflammation.

➡️Causes of dry eyes:-----

You may be more likely to get dry eyes if:

↪you're over the age of 50

↪️you wear contact lenses

↪️you look at computer screens for a long time without a break

↪️you spend time in air conditioned or heated environments

↪️it's windy, cold, dry or dusty

↪️you smoke or drink alcohol

↪️you take certain medicines (for example, some antidepressants or blood pressure drugs)

➡️How to treat dry eyes yourself:-----

✅Do

🔸keep your eyes clean

🔸take breaks to rest your eyes when using a computer screen

🔸make sure your computer screen is at eye level so you do not strain your eyes

🔸use a humidifier to stop the air getting dry

🔸get plenty of sleep to rest your eyes

🔸if you wear contact lenses, take them out and wear glasses to rest your eyes
