Nepali Padman: 45 years old Gyan Ratna Maharjan from Lalitpur aka Padman is involved in producing cheap and reusable pads for women. He has also provided training to around 4700 women to make pads so far and provides pain leave to women during their periods. He says, "My aim is to provide easy access to pads for all women in Nepal and to raise public awareness about clean and hygienic menstruation because our society has various taboos related to mensuration and it is a form violence and discrimination that needs to end." тЭд
