Hypothyroidism Types PART 1

Primary hypothyroidism is the most common type and occurs when the thyroid gland cannot produce enough thyroid hormones, often due to Hashimoto's thyroiditis, iodine deficiency, thyroid surgery, or certain medications. It is usually associated with high TSH and low T4 levels.
Secondary hypothyroidism occurs when the pituitary gland does not produce enough TSH
tertiary hypothyroidism results from reduced TRH production by the hypothalamus.
