SCIAN, a non-profit making social organization working since last 10 yrs with mission to promote and upgrade the methodology for the rehabilitation and care of the spinal injuries, general disabled and dalit, janajati, single woman, youth and marginalized community people and the general disabled people with severe mobility problem. During last 12 years of violence and bloodshed, there is a tremen
dous hike in the numbers of spinal injuries and handicaps around us. We established Independent Living Center(Apanga Ashram). We have several programs viz., awareness raising, peer counseling, child sponsorship, health and education, human and child rights, home-visit, assistive device supports, schooling supports, skill/vocational training, (sewing/cutting, bag manufacturing training, candle making training, incense making training, pearl making training,handicrafts training, and other bazaar based vocational training), income generation program, referrals, networking with local, national and international level. We are interested to establish a computer lab for computer literacy to marginalized community people. Our target groups are woman, disabled, conflict affected people, dalit, jana jati, single woman and marginalized community people.
