💬How did you do that? I asked...🗨️
Does any of these words sound familiar? When is the last time it happened to you?
🔹These example of impact injuries all happened by surprise - when that happens, the body doesn't have time to engage and respond to the stimuli with the brain-driven reflex system - this would normally be our first line of defence to protect ourselves from injury. The element of Surprise over-rides this; instead, it's our skeletal self-defence system that act as a shock absorber, protecting our vital organs and absorbing all the shock. The impact site is the "Flinchlocked bone" - a bone locked in shock in a flinch/a split second.
💬The kind of concerns reported by my clients include concussion, coordination issue, back pain, issues with transitioning from sitting to standing and tossing & turning at night, repetitive falls on same side, uneven gait and lack of balance, sore elbows, restricted mobility of the shoulder joint, headaches, as well as sensory shocks.
This is the diversity of people and injuries seen in the last few weeks at the clinic. Every body can benefit from this natural approach when the body has been hit by surprise.
