Interested in anaesthesiology? 👀 Curious about what the specialty is really like, or wondering if it might be a future career path? 💭

The Anaesthesiology Interest Group (AIG) is welcoming new members for 2026! 🩺💉 We’re a group of medical students keen to learn more about the field and connect with anaesthesiologists. Throughout the year, we’ll be hosting events such as career evenings, talks with clinicians, and opportunities to gain insight into the specialty.

We also have some exciting events coming up this year (including a conference 👀), so stay tuned! 🌟

Whether you’re seriously considering anaesthesiology or just curious to learn more, we’d love to have you join us.

CALLING FOR AIG EXECS 2025!!! 🥳✨💉

With the end of the 2024 academic year coming closer, we're on the search for some enthusiastic, committed, and diligent new faces to be part of our 2025 executive team!

What we do:

• An annual careers evening - Careers in Anaesthesiology
• Anaesthesiology-based progress test questions on our social media
• Collaborative progress test seminars with other interest groups
• Share elective information and experiences to help with planning

💸 Treasurer: Managing the financial activity and budget for AIG, with clear record keeping and accurate financial summaries.
📸 Social Media Officer: Creating and managing AIG’s social media presence on Facebook and Instagram.
📚 Education Officer: Organising anaesthesiology-based educational resources and events for students, including AIG’s progress test questions.
