Winter Solstice Reflection- A practice taken from my women’s full moon circle.

On the winter solstice, take a moment to reflect on one situation, person or habit that you are carrying that no longer supports your energy, peace or wellbeing.

Write down this situation, habit or person on a piece of paper.

You may have more than one😂.

Light a candle, asking the Divine Goddess, Spirit, Consciousness to release with love the things stated on your list.

Burn the piece of paper, trusting that the Divine takes care of the stated issues.

The flame transmutes any negativity or heaviness into one of hope and renew.

Ensure that you have a safe container on hand to place the paper in.

A roaring fire can also be used to enhance this experience.

Express gratitude and trust that all will be well as the coming light arrives into our life and we say goodbye to the shortest day. ⭐️✨☀️ ❄️

Feet tell quiet tales
Reflexes awaken light
Peace moves through the body

More than just a foot massage, reflexologists listen to the deeper meaning in the feet.

Our feet can tell stories. Stories that reflect our past present and future held imbalances.

Listening into areas of tightness, denseness and unease.

Stimulating the feet also relaxes muscles, ligaments and tendons, which promotes better biomechanics and structural alignment in the body.

Fantastic news! Taking time off work to care for a sick pet is now officially recognised in Italy. Employees are entitled to up to three days of paid leave each year when their companion animal requires urgent veterinary care. While modest, this change reflects the growing importance many people place on the health and wellbeing of their pets.
The new provision follows years of evolving legal protections and changing social attitudes. Across Italy, pets are increasingly regarded as cherished family members and valued companions, rather than simply animals, highlighting the deep bond people share with them.

Are you caring for a cat living with diabetes? 🐈🐾

Let me say that you deserve a big gold star ⭐️ (and an extra large medicinal glass of wine or whatever your favourite guilty pleasure is 😂).

It entails schedules, monitoring and adjusting- not only for your feline companion but also for you.

There can also be some unacknowledged grief, anger, guilt and/or resentment present when that diagnosis is made.

Basically, I turned into Nurse Jackie (almost but not quite the crazy druggie TV character😳).

And that was my everyday life with my fur baby, Miss Matisse from when she was 13 until she made her transition to spirit at 18.

The most important thing we defined straight was that she was still Matisse, but with a metabolic imbalance called diabetes and that she was NOT ‘diabetic’.

We must always be careful about labels, as labels can become identities.

We should always see them as Divine perfection in a feline body.

Along with insulin, a holistic wellness programme can play a big part in increasing their quality of life and keep them thriving.

If you are looking for more ways to support your feline friend living with diabetes, check out my book- Reflexology for Cats-and other natural therapies for your feline companion which features reflexology, acupressure, Bach Flowers, craniosacral therapy, holistic pulsing and Reiki.

It includes a segment on diabetes with practical tips and techniques, colour maps and photos.

Available in ebook (pdf and epub formats).

The familiar sound of a cat’s purr is created by a rhythmic neural oscillator that sends signals to the muscles of the larynx (voice box), causing them to contract and relax at a rate of approximately 25 to 150 vibrations per second (Hz). These rapid movements cause the vocal cords to separate briefly during both inhalation and exhalation, producing the unique continuous vibration we recognize as a purr. Animal behaviourist Karen L. Overall describes purring as “opera singing for cats.” Yet because a cat’s purr is typically low-pitched, we often feel its vibrations as much as we hear them.
Scientists believe that purring may serve a purpose beyond communication. Cats are masters of energy conservation, spending long periods resting and sleeping. Purring may provide a low-energy way to stimulate muscles, bones, and tissues without requiring physical exertion. The frequencies produced during purring have been associated with processes that support tissue repair, bone strength, and healing.
The remarkable resilience of cats has inspired countless myths, including the popular saying that cats have “nine lives.” While such legends are symbolic, they may reflect the extraordinary ability of cats to recover from injury. Interestingly, compared with many selectively bred domestic dogs, cats tend to experience fewer inherited bone and muscular disorders. Some researchers have even suggested that the healing frequencies generated through purring may contribute to maintaining their musculoskeletal health.
Although many people associate purring with contentment, cats also purr when they are frightened, injured, giving birth, or recovering from illness. This suggests that purring is more than simply an expression of happiness. Rather, it appears to be a sophisticated form of communication and may also function as a natural self-healing mechanism, helping cats restore balance and wellbeing from within.

We Don’t Need Another (Guru )Hero
(Sung in my best Tina Turner voice 😂)

The thing I have observed over my 25 plus years in the wellness business, is people hand over their power to practitioners, experts and teachers, believing someone else holds the answers they are searching for.

Lots of jargon monoxide and toxic guru-linity😂

While guidance has value, true healing was never meant to create dependency.

But somewhere along the way, many people were taught to look outside themselves for every answer.

To find the next modality.
The next practitioner.
The next certification.

But healing is an inside job.

All you need is someone to:
Guide you to reconnecting to your body.
Your intuition.
Your inner wisdom.

To create a space of deep relaxation to find good health again.

I believe the most powerful practitioners are the ones who help people remember who they are.

They are humble and maybe why they struggle a bit on social media to be all pumped up and all rah rah rah.

The future I’m committed to creating is helping people recognise the light inside them.

In the end that’s what I want to be known for. And also someone who is always up for dancing to psytrance. 😂💃🏻

And I trust the right clients and students will always come to me.
