🐾 Animals have a beautiful way of helping us heal.
A wagging tail, a gentle purr or simply having them beside you can brighten even the hardest day. ❀️

Their presence can bring comfort, calm and connection β€” sometimes without a single word.
Sometimes, we just need to sit beside an animal and breathe. ❀️

πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈHow do you feel about going for a walk alone? πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸƒ

Too often, I used to think that going for a walk meant texting a friend and catching up for a walk and a chat πŸ—£πŸ‘.

As much as this is great & I do recommend-
What I have learnt over time, is that walking alone is amazing for the mind and the body 🧠 πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ.

When you are truly connected to what is around you, with no distractions, your mind can begin to relax and switch off.

It is important to get outdoors as much as we can, maybe a nearby beach or lake, a forest or reserve. Or if you live in or near the city check out some local parks & grass areas 🌿🌳.

A short walk or a long walk, it does not matter πŸ‘£. Set your intention to go outdoors to relax and de-clutter the mind. With one foot in front of each other, walk slowly, breathe deeply and release any stress & tension.

Try it...you may be surprised how relaxing it is πŸ™‚ 🌿.

Happy walking πŸ‘£πŸ‘£πŸ‘£

πŸ‘£πŸŒ± Have you ever heard the term β€œgrounding” or β€œfeeling grounded”?

Grounding is a simple practice that can help you reconnect with your body, your surroundings and the present moment.

It can be a useful way to create feelings of peace, calm and balance, particularly when your mind feels busy or overwhelmed.

By bringing your attention away from racing thoughts and towards what you can physically feel, hear and notice around you, you can give yourself a moment to pause and reconnect. 🌱

How can I ground myself?

🚿 In the shower
Imagine the water flowing from the top of your head down through your body and towards your feet. As the water flows away, imagine your worries flowing away with it. Feel your feet connected to the floor and take a few slow, deep breaths.

🏑 At home
Sit comfortably on a chair or the edge of your bed. Close your eyes and take some slow, deep breaths. Try a gentle body scan, bringing your attention from your head and face, down through your neck, shoulders, arms, body and legs, all the way to your feet. Imagine your body becoming softer and more relaxed. Feel your feet connected to the floor.

🌱 Outdoors
Take a slow walk in nature and bring your attention to your surroundings. Notice the feeling of your feet touching the ground, listen to the birds, notice the movement of the trees and take in the scents around you. Breathe slowly and be present with each step.

πŸ‘£ Tip: If you're somewhere suitable and safe, you could take off your shoes and walk barefoot on grass or natural ground, paying attention to how it feels beneath your feet.

Why not choose one of these practices and try it for 5 minutes today? You may find it helps you feel more centred, present and at ease. πŸ’š

Have you tried grounding before? Let me know in the comments what helps you feel grounded. πŸ‘‡

πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ Do you believe in fairies? πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ

Irish fairy folklore is rich with stories of supernatural beings who are said to live alongside us, often in hidden or enchanted places throughout the landscape. Over the years, there have been many stories and reported sightings of fairies and pixies. ✨

Check out my video below from Fairy Hill and the caves of the North Coast β€” two truly magical and special places to visit. πŸŒŠβ˜˜οΈπŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ

🌿 Navigating Life Transitions: Making Friends in a New Country 🌍🀝

Moving to a new country can be exciting, but it can also feel lonely when you don’t know anyone.
Making new friends as an adult isn’t always easy β€” but small steps can make a big difference. πŸ’›

In this short video, I share some simple ideas to help you meet new people and form connections.

🌱 Remember, you don’t have to find your whole friendship group straight away. Start with one conversation, one activity or one new connection.

Watch the video below and let me know β€” what has helped you make friends when moving somewhere new? πŸ’¬

✨️✨️How often do you really move your body ? πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸ§Žβ€β™‚οΈπŸ§ŽπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒ πŸ‘€

Believe me, I am no expert on the gym, yoga or dance, (but I do enjoy all of the above.) I like to attend local exercise and dance classes and I also like to follow online yoga videos from my laptop in the comfort of my home 🏑.

Over the last few years, I have been working on my mental & emotional health and wellbeing.
Lately, I have been focusing on my physical healthπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ- moving my body as much as I can, going for walks with my dog, attending exercise classes, and remembering my stretches every morningπŸ™†β€β™€οΈ.

I now have more energy, less fatigue, and sleep better. I feel less emotional, and my mind is clearer πŸ‘.
I have realized how important moving the body (via stretching & exercise) is extremely beneficial for our overall well-being. This also helps to clear emotions that can get trapped in the body (i.e., stress).

⁉️ If you could add just one thing into your day or week to increase your movement and exercise, what would it be?

🌿 Start today. I challenge you to choose "one small change" that gets you moving a little more.

You may enjoy the benefits of feeling happier, healthier and more energised.
