Dark lip brightening - Before → Healed after one session (6 months) → Immediately after session two.
The longer I work with colour, the less I see lips as a single colour. I see value shifts. I see undertones. I see saturation. I see areas that hold more depth, areas that reflect more light, and areas that will respond differently throughout the healing process.
Dark lip work has taught me that the healed result is where the real learning begins. What I see at the first appointment isn’t what I’ll see six months later. The banding changes. The contrast changes. The canvas changes. Every healed result provides more information and helps shape the next step.
That’s why my approach has never been about adding a warm pigment and hoping for the best. It’s about understanding what’s already there first.
Assessing. Observing. Adapting.
This set is especially meaningful because these lips belong to my cousin Memree Vareed . Someone who has supported my journey from the sidelines, celebrated the wins, and trusted me enough to sit in my chair.
For me, that’s the true privilege.
Not just creating beautiful results, but earning the trust to guide someone through a process that requires patience, strategy, and an understanding of colour that goes far beyond what we see on the surface.
And we’re not done yet. P.s just adding some oldskool vibes with the music memz xx
