Petal Foundation Charitable Trust July Edition Newsletter 🌸🌼:

We hope this newsletter finds you warm and well as we move through these colder winter months. This week was Birth Trauma Awareness Week - a gentle reminder that every birth story is different, and for many parents, the arrival of their baby is accompanied by experiences that are unexpected, overwhelming, or deeply traumatic.

At Petal, we know that healing doesn't always happen overnight. Sometimes, what families need most is time, space, and compassionate support without judgement 🌸

Every day, we provide support during some of life's most challenging and, in many cases, unexpected moments. Through safe, nurturing care for babies, we help create breathing room for parents to recover, access the support they need, and take the next step on their journey.

To every parent carrying a difficult birth experience: you are seen, your story matters, and it's okay to ask for help 🩷

Just a heads-up for all our wonderful patients:

Our clinic will be closed for Matariki this holiday period.
We’ll be taking time to reflect, celebrate, and enjoy the Matariki festivities, and also, still quietly celebrating that State of Origin win for NSW over QLD! 😂
Don’t worry, we won’t rub it in too much lol but we will say: even the stars align sometimes, and this time they shone bright for the Blues! 💙💙

When we’re back:
We’ll re-open bright and early on Monday 13th at 7:00 AM, ready to look after you again.

If you have any urgent concern, please contact your nearest urgent care in the meantime, details can be found on our website: https://www.thevillagefamilymedical.co.nz/urgent-appointments

Wishing everyone a safe, peaceful, and happy Matariki!

Your Team at The Village Family Medical💙✨
