From this Sunday, we’re bringing back Sunday Yin at Koukoulee (every Sunday at 4:30pm above the pharmacy in Oneroa). This was the first regular class I ever taught, many of you loved it and have been asking for again. I’ve missed it!

This is an extra slow, extra melty Yin class. The kind of practice where you get options, there are no demands, you can’t “do it wrong”, and frankly you can spend the entire hour just lying in a comfortable nest if you so please. It’s a chance to slow down, settle into your body, breathe a little deeper and finish the weekend feeling a little more grounded before Monday rolls around.

If you’ve been needing an excuse to soften into Sunday evenings, this is it. I’d love to have you there.

Back by popular demand ☺️ Myofascial Release Workshop (Hips, Legs & Feet)

A practical 90-minute session to help reduce muscle tightness and improve mobility.

Myofascial release (MFR) works with fascia—the web of connective tissue that surrounds and supports your muscles and bones. When it becomes restricted (from repetitive movement, stress, or load), it can contribute to that familiar feeling of stiffness or soreness. Using gentle, intelligent pressure with massage balls can help these areas soften and move more freely.

This workshop focuses on the hips, glutes, legs and feet—the foundation of how we move. Whether you spend long hours sitting, stand all day, run, lift weights, practise yoga or Pilates, or simply notice tight hips and tired feet, this session is designed to help restore movement and ease.

Expect a steady, accessible session where release work is woven together with active (yang yoga-style) movement, finishing with longer-held yin yoga poses to help everything settle.

You’ll leave with simple techniques you can use at home, plus your own massage ball to continue your practice.

Suitable for general tightness or soreness (not acute injuries).

2:00pm – 3:30pm

A quiet reminder that early bird pricing for The Quiet Reset ends on 31 May.

It’s a gentle, spacious day of movement, meditation, nourishing food, deep rest, yin and Yoga Nidra.

Not a bootcamp.
Not another thing to achieve.
Just a day to soften, exhale, and be supported.

Thank you to everyone who came along and brought such a lovely energy to last Sunday’s Myofascial Release Workshop ✨

We explored gentle self-release techniques for the neck, arms and shoulders, learned more about fascia and how stress and movement patterns shape the body, and simple techniques to work with this.

I loved creating and sharing this workshop and I’m already planning the next ones for all the people who wanted to join and couldn’t get a spot due to it being sold out, and also to explore the legs and hips later in July.

Watch this space for upcoming workshops and special themes over the coming months 👀

If you’d like to join a future session, send me a message or make sure you’re following along here for updates ✨

Thank you for the photos 🙏

We’re hosting our first day retreat in a long time.

The Quiet Reset is a one-day retreat for women navigating perimenopause, menopause, burnout, low energy, or simply that feeling of being stretched too thin for too long.

This is not a bootcamp.
And it’s not passive pampering either.

It’s a slower, more intelligent kind of support — through gentle movement, meditation, nourishing food, deep rest, yin, Yoga Nidra and space to properly exhale.

The day will be guided by Yuna May, whose work brings together movement, fascia-focused yin, nervous system support and a deep understanding of what women’s bodies need in this season of life.

Sunday 21 June
10am–4pm
Koukoulee, Oneroa

Early bird: $295 until 31 May
Standard: $345

You can now secure your place with a deposit, with the remaining balance payable closer to the date.

Spaces are intentionally limited so the day can feel calm, spacious and genuinely held.

A sequence for Yin Yoga at home

All you need is a few cushions, a rolled bath towel.

In the practice of Yin, we come into the shape softly, allow the body to yield and soften into the shape, then stay usually 3-5 minutes, before coming out of the pose slowly.
✨ The magic happens in the quiet stillness and when the tissues rebound after each shape. Awareness turns inwards and you can become curious of sensation, immerse yourself in observing the breath or watching your thoughts and emotions form, take shape and dissolve.

Remember to honour your edges, that might mean adapting the poses and using props to support your body.

Comment below if you have any question, or If you’d like me to send you a playlist to accompany this practice.

Practice live with me online Sunday 8pm NZ time, or in person at Koukoulee studio Waiheke Island every Thursday at 6:30pm
