Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the principle that all the systems of the body are mapped out in reflex points on the feet, hands and ears. Reflexology is a wel

l established holistic therapy which treats the mind and body as a whole to achieve a state of general well-being. An increasing number of people are using this safe, natural therapy as a way of relaxing and harmonising the body. I have completed two diplomas each in Reflexology and 'Anatomy and Physiology' and am a member of Reflexology New Zealand. All RNZ practitioners have satisfied important criteria in relation to professional knowledge, training and continued education, and are bound by the code of ethics and code of practice set down by Reflexology New Zealand. Your treatment will be undertaken within the premises of my school The Auckland School of Reflexology in the convenient suburb of Albany, Auckland, New Zealand.

Our first conversation is a very important one. It has key elements that make it important. 💬

🔹That you feel safe, and heard.

🔹That I gather relevant past and present information to help me best know how to support you.

🔹That you know what to expect during, and following your treatment.

🔹That we have a care plan for your first and fellow up sessions.

🔹That we have measurable goals that will help us both track your progress as we follow the plan.

🔹That you fully understand your role, and mine, in your session, and our therapeutic relationship.

🔹That we are the right fit for each other.

That is why your first appointment begins with a conversation.❤️

Another person fully trained and certified in Ear Reflexology and Ear Seeding.👂🎓

Congratulations Vesna. 🥳

It was a pleasure to read the detailed case study report that Vesna submitted.

She used a combination of the therapeutic approaches that she offers in her practice, together with carefully selected Ear Seeds, to support the symptoms that her client was experiencing.

The result was phenomenal, with significant improvements. Yay!

I can see that Vesna’s clients are in good hands. ❤️

There’s a reason for the grainy photo of me from the very early days of my business. 😉 Read on please. ➡️

One of the reasons that people study something later on in their life, is because they are in a place of discontent.

🔹They have become dissatisfied with what they are doing, and where they are heading.

🔹They are stuck in a rut. A rut that has become increasingly unpleasant and demotivating.

🔹They want to make a change.
A change for the better.
A change with purpose and possibility.

💙 I made that change at the age of 44! I studied and retrained to be a Reflexologist. And I’ve never looked back.

💙 And then guess what, I made another change .... well not so much a change, but a new addition. I opened my Reflexology School ... At the age of 50!

✅ The reason for a change is personal. The right time to make a change is felt personally too.

✅ But one thing is for sure it’s important to make it, and it’s never too late.

I’ll leave you with this quote and a link to The Auckland School of Reflexology website and .... well who knows???

“Our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.” ~ M. Scott Peck

Congratulations Tarryn. 🥳

It has been my pleasure to read the detailed case study report that Tarryn submitted.

She carefully selected Ear Seeds to support the numerous symptoms that her client was living with. The ear seeds soon did their job, became sensitive on her ears, coupled with a reduction in some of her symptoms. Yay!

I can see that Tarryn’s clients are in good hands. ❤️

Us Reflexologists like to use the phrase “The feet don’t lie!”, with regard to what we find via the feet, and the link and significance to the person we are working on.

We don’t always know exactly what it means for our clients and their bodies, but we know it means something.

Through the conversations we have with our clients after their session, we then fathom out the ‘what’ and the ‘why’ …. And this gives both of us valuable insights that contribute to the continued effectiveness and value of each session.

So, you see, “The feet don’t lie!”

I’m always really surprised how quickly the time comes around to revalidate my 2 yearly First Aid Certification. 🚑⛑🏥🩹

First aid training is a necessary requirement for my membership of Reflexology New Zealand.

As a reflexologist, I obviously work closely with clients in a one on one setting, so this is part of maintaining a safe professional environment.

My happy task this morning was to attend the physical class portion of my blended learning revalidation certificate.

It really was a good experience with Practical Training Solutions. ❤️

I was talking to a client about the benefits of creating regular pauses in his work day, and thought I’d share my thoughts and recommendations with you too. 💬

It is easy to become engrossed in a task or activity when we are at work, or in work mode. 🤯

Taking what I call ‘wellness snacks’ in your work day may be a simple and helpful support to you on numerous levels. Even if you can’t leave your desk at the time. ☺️

A wellness snack is a tiny repeatable activity that can easily be interspersed into your day, and proactively contributes to your overall wellbeing. 🥰

You may find it helpful to have a couple of tools that can lie near you in your work space, providing a visible reminder to pick use them. 🎾

I’ve thought of 4️⃣ reasons for including wellness snacks into your work day.

🔹Improves Focus and Concentration
Short breaks help your brain recharge, making it easier to stay focused and productive in work.

🔹Reduces Stress and Mental Fatigue
Sitting back from your task for a few minutes may lower stress levels and prevent burnout during a busy workday.

🔹Boosts Creativity
A quick pause in what you are doing may refresh your mind and help generate new ideas or solutions to problems.

🔹Supports Physical Health
Taking breaks to stand, stretch, or just move around in your chair, reduces muscle stiffness, and the long term musculoskeletal effects of sitting too long.

In the pursuit of overall wellbeing in our bodies and lives, the addition of tiny but regular wellness activities can be extremely supportive. 😉

Please pass this post on to anyone you think may need this information or a gentle reminder. ➡️
