Continuing on from this week's theme of lumps and bumps...I had an enquiry the other day in regards to homeopathic support for the body with warts.
This is a very good question and I realised that I had not written much about this at all on our page. So for those interested here is how we view warts homoeopathically and what we do to support the healthy functioning of the immune system when the body is besieged :)
When I was a kid, everyone burnt the wart off or applied home potions onto the wart in an effort to shrink it. But as always this is a chronic condition which points to a weakness in the general functioning of the body. A homeopath will need to approach the case in this manner to successfully support the body in overcoming this virus.
In our philosophy, when you apply wart paint you are suppressing the disease by overcoming the body's defences which is keeping the disease at the surface of the skin and away from the inner organs. I have had little clients brought to me months after a wart has been burnt off with behavioural issues or physical symptoms that have started after having the wart burnt off and have not gone away.
The remedy that is often needed to help support the healthy functioning of their body and mind is often the remedy they might have needed when the wart was present. Sometimes it is a process of several different remedies and other times the response is fast and the wart shrinks or falls off within the first week or two.
As an aside, it's always interesting to look up which meridian line for which organs the wart is sitting on. Often that is an organ that needs to be supported in it's healthy functioning and then the wart just disappears.
Although Thuja is an over the counter remedy to support the healthy functioning of the body with warts, it is only one of many. I have given the remedy made from wheat before for a large wart on the thigh. We had tried many remedies before that one was given and it responded quickly to our surprise :)
No symptom is separate to the whole, rather the dis-ease is manifested in various ways across a person's whole being.
