‼️As a kaupapa Māori organisation it is vital for us to acknowledge the importance of our people and culture that have made it possible for us to be here.

📍Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori or Māori language week is all about recognising the significance and journey of our beautiful language and culture.

May we see and understand the stength we possess in persevering and overcoming the trials and fires of colonisation; And what we have been through as a people to keep it alive.

💪🏽May we continue to be uplifted by our beautiful culture and remember how far we’ve come.

Let us be grateful for understanding the power in this gift through Te Reo.🙏🏽

This month we encompass the value of TŪMANAKO! A value we prioritise at What Ever It Takes, iAwhi and Indigenous Rehab💪🏽

As kaupapa Māori organisations, we get the privilege to share and walk alongside our whānau at one of the deepest levels of tūmanako. 👣

Tūmanako is more than just a goal, it is the line of sight, the direction of where we are going as a result of who we are. As the journey continues, we find ourselves in constant conversation with life. 🗺️🧭

We are fortunate enough to learn and share a journey with our kiritaki and whānau that go through the gruelling and seemingly impossible task of creating a new life outside of what they have ever known.

What a gift it is to walk alongside our whānau hāua and community and practice the art of tūmanako💚🎁

📍For the past week we have been thinking of creative ways to bring more awareness to iAwhi! 🩵🦉

Doing some research we found out about the promotional campaign that Mayor Brown was holding, with the initiative to support start up businesses💻📈
On top of being his birthday, the wheels began spinning in our creative minds😅🎂

With that we went above and beyond to seek this opportunity to promote what iAwhi is and what it will become.🔭

IAwhi is founded on cultural principles that aim to provide wrap around care to support communities as we head into the modern world. IAwhi is a building platform that merges technology, culture, and care together. “Technology with a Heart.”❤️
