Wanted: One Grant Writer Extraordinaire!
Are you a skilled writer looking to make a tangible difference in your community?
Project Employ is searching for a structured, passionate Part-Time Grant Writer to join our team in Takapuna!
We are a registered New Zealand charity dedicated to bridging the gap between school and the workforce for neurodiverse young adults. Through real-world training environments like Flourish Café, we empower rangatahi with intellectual or learning differences to gain confidence, build vital skills, and transition into meaningful, paid employment.
This critical role is roughly 10 hours per week and can be structured as either a paid position or a voluntary role, depending on your experience and preference.
What you’ll do:
Research & Identify: Find local, regional, and national philanthropic trusts aligning with youth employment and neurodiversity.
Craft Proposals: Write compelling, high-quality funding applications that weave together operational metrics and powerful success stories.
Manage Pipelines: Keep our funding calendar on track and compile necessary financial and organizational data.
Build Relationships: Maintain transparent accountability reporting and cultivate long-term funder relationships.
What we're looking for:
Proven grant-writing success within the NZ non-profit sector.
Familiarity with NZ funding platforms.
Exceptional written communication that balances empathy with professional metrics.
A deep, authentic commitment to disability inclusion and accessibility.
If you want to use your professional skills to help secure the future of life-changing programmes, we would love to hear from you!
