Sitting here negotiating with my grumpy hip again reminds me how exhausting living with pain can be. Not just physically, but mentally too.
After a while, the body can start anticipating it before anything has even triggered it, staying tense, alert and protective.
That constant stress response is exhausting in itself.
Because the brain and nervous system play such a big role in how pain is experienced, hypnotherapy can help calm that response.
