Monday Mudra - Vishuddha Mudra
Gesture of purification
( Remember last week's mudra for protection from our limiting beliefs? Well now we have a mudra to purify those beliefs and free us from them completely โค๏ธโ๐ฅ)
Shaucha means "purity," and refers to purification at all levels of our being.
At the physical level, Shaucha is the purification of our bodies through appropriate diet and lifestyle. Shaucha also refers to purity in our surroundings by creating a clear, open space, inspiring us to live with simplicity, naturally allowing us to focus on our spiritual journey.
At the level of the mind, Shaucha is the spaciousness that allows us to meet each new experience openly
as a field of appreciation, learning and awakening.
When we meet life with
fewer judgments and preconceived attitudes, negative thought patterns
emotional reactions and limiting beliefs come to the surface to be seen, witnessed and gradually released. As we meet life with greater openness and
simplicity, the purity of our essential being is revealed naturally.
Vishuddha means "purification," and Vishuddha mudra directs breath, awareness and energy into the throat, our center of spiritual purification.
This gesture enhances circulation to the vocal cords, releasing tension which cultivates greater ease in speaking and singing.
This mudra also increases
circulation to the thyroid gland, balancing metabolism and instilling a sense of equanimity that supports our spiritual journey.
At a subtle level, this gesure opens and balances Vishuddha chakra, supporting the release of limiting beliefs, thereby revealing the inherent purity of our true being.
Vishuddha mudra creates space between thoughts, cultivating greater clarity and objectivity, allowing intuition to awaken naturally.
