Back into term 3, hit the ground running teaching two days a week, massaging 2.5 and parenting round the clock.
Life at the moment is FULL of wonderfully contrasting things, and I’m here for all of it.
As exciting and fulfilling as my Garden to Table and Reo Māori teaching mahi is, my massage mahi is equally as rewarding, in a different way.
Teaching is my yang, and massage is my yin ☯️
My two days at kura are full on, exciting, non-stop, adrenaline and dopamine fuelled, and packed full of interactions that can leave me completely zapped by the end of two days.
Yet my massage mahi has me slow down and tune in to the micro and macro.
Subtle shifts in tissue condition, emotional states, the cadence of the breath, and energetic vibrations. All requiring observations on multiple levels.
Switching from teaching to massage means I shift from heady, thinking work, to more feeling, intuitive work.
It’s a great balance ❤️
I’m now massaging Thursdays 10am-6pm, Fridays 4.30-5.30pm, and Sat 9am-1.30pm
See you on the table ✨
